After Kabuterimon comes Mega-Kabuterimon. In the 2nd Digimon movie, he was very close to making that transformation, however, Diaboromon prevented him from it by launching a Web Crusher attack interrupting the digivolution along with Angemon.

Totally got that on lockdown.

I was like in 8th grade when Digimon was around and I'm not an anime fan in the slightest. The little bit I know is what I watched when I was bored after school. (Playing Pokemans on GB was always fun though, I'd still do that now if I didn't play FFXI.)

If we are talking about the shows, Digimon was superior to Pokemon by a gigantic degree. Pokemon is one the worst animes to ever see any sort of popularity, and this is without the dubbing. Digimon was enough for me to think, "Hay, animu is pretty cool, maybe I should watch other stuff made by Japan" when I was young. Digimon also had Myotismon, who was a fucking badass villain, by any standards. No contest.
