Tiamat before he moved. Obviously.
I guess that was when he only could afford a Tahrongi Canyon apt. He prolly got a raise and moved to Attowha to spite his father in law, Xololololololotl.Originally Posted by Akiyama

Kinda disappointing honestly. Between all the history of FFXI (galka homeland, xarcabard demons, crystal war, etc) and all the awesome comedy potential (baby Fafnir dropping Merc. Kris, etc.) this could be kinda great. However:
Sounds kinda fail.1UP: So it'll be pretty cut and dry, it won't be this complex new system.
KF: Yep, that's right.
Hopefully the new jobs will be cool.
Ridill Knight... occasional attacks once. Perfect new job for everyone!
Looking at the screenshots, I just hope MY game looks like that >.>
If you read this in context with the other questions, I think it was referring only to the economy. The preceeding questions asked about if the economy in the "past" would be different from the economy in the "future", to which they said no. I don't think that rules out them making some kind of complex system where past actions influence future events, or other things not related to the economy.Originally Posted by archibaldcrane
Were you really expecting a whole different economy and money system? I mean sure, people hoped ancient currency would be plentiful, but nobody really thought it would be. And of course the tenshodo will take care of the auction houses.Originally Posted by archibaldcrane
Not much to be disappointed with in that statement, unless you thought it didn't just pertain to the economy question just prior.
Edit: beaten or something
I felt like it referred to monetary system (which I didn't really expect to change) as well as
Just doesn't sound much like the 'time travel' aspects that you traditionally would expect are materializing, and that the new "past" zones won't have much to do with the present, given the lack of evidence to the contrary. We'll have to see what they come up with.1UP: Since you'll be messing with the past in Wings Of The Goddess, do you plan to introduce any type of lineage - not the game - but family tree type of functionality to the game? It seems like you could introduce some ancestral elements.
KO: [Laughs] Probably not.

Those were the days
Pro-Tip: Very, very likely all of the wyrms are much older than 20 years. If they keep to DnD style facts, probably older than Windurst.
Rhinostery quests! Even faster than the portal charm. ;POriginally Posted by Akiyama
I'm really undecided about this for the most part. I'd honestly would just hope for a newer tank type job more then anything.
They stated in the interview that there was a good chance of the present being affected by the past.Originally Posted by archibaldcrane

KO: [Knowingly] Um, probably. [Laughs]
They'll probably have a few quests involving items and armor being charged up over time like the sunstone in CT.
