How long does it take for the entire process? (from the day you send it to them until the day you get it back)

Uh, last time it took about 2 weeks total time, from the time I called til the time I got it back...but that was before the big red ring thing was common. So now it'll probably take a month, I'm assuming

I must be really lucky. I got my 360 around christmas and have yet to have any problems including red ring. But a handful of my friends have. Knock on wood.

I don't think you do anymore, but I would just register the 360 either way on the Live site. (Xbox360.com)

Now that they have that 3 year replacement for RRoD you should be in good shape if it happens.

Yeah, you just register at the website using the serial code on your 360, and it automatically knows what your warranty is. When I had to get my 360 repaired, I registered it on the site, filled in all my information, and then called up their tech support. The guy asked if I had registered the console, then verified the information I had entered and shipped a box out (prepaid postage, yay) to ship my 360 back in.

Its really annoying, but Microsoft stepped up and did what they had to do. The entire process only cost me time, no money, so kudos to them for owning up and paying for their failures.

Something fun to play while I wait for HALO3 lol. Ninja Gaiden is still kind of fun, but you can only play through it so much before it gets boring. Any good Wii games to play? I haven't been able to get Metroid Prime yet ; ; everywhere in Columbus is teh sold out >< (Should of reserved it >< )
