    No one I spar with has 6packs any more, the younger kids have them for a short time but noone that I've been fighting with does anymore. I had one skating but I actually prefer the way my stomach is now over it.

    Eating 6~ times a day small portions along with runnning and boxing and situps/reverse situps will definatly flattin out a stomach in a few months.

    Oh I forgot to mention, I stopped eating at night. Your metabolism naturally slows down at night when you sleep, so try to not be full when you go to bed. Drink water instead if you get hungry.

    God I keep having afterthoughts: If you have trouble eating small meals or end up unsatisfied after a meal, try drinking a full cup or bottle of water before a meal. It'll fill you up a little so you won't be able to eat as much and you'll feel more full :D

    I've turned onto V8 and Water only now as far as beverages go. Well, other than the occasional weekend where Jaeger gets involved.

    Most diet regimens say you can have one off day to eat whatever you want for one meal and it won't screw up your system. My vice is pizza and beer so yeah; ;

    Yeah I've read that too which is why I've always had that sacred day. Football season starting so it will change from saturdays to sundays. I remember seeing a celebrity trainer that if they followed what he said to the T every day, that at the end of every week they could have taco bell lol.

    I'm rather curious now, since we are talking about weight loss in addition to the whole ab thing, what's the most weight the people here have lost? I used to be a fat motherfucker, lost 80 pounds 2 or 3 years ago, lawl.

    My boxing trainer made me gain alot of weight so I'd bump up a few classes and learn how to take hits and dish them back, then he made me lose it all back to my old weight to add speed to what I had learned. It was also a lesson in forcing me to never want to gain a single pound ever again because of how hard and painful it was to lose it, absolute tourture. I think I went from about 150 to 200ish and now im down again to 170.

    On the subject of food, I just want to stress the importance of eating breakfast. Eat a good solid breakfast if you can, if not, grab something, fruit, toast, yogurt, whatever you can. Your body needs that food when you wake up to get itself and your metabolism going. Skipping breakfast throughout the year will actually cause you to gain weight rather than lose it by not jump starting your metabolism first thing in the morning.

    you can use a BMI calculator online. Just google body fat percent and use one there. They're not completely accurate but it's a good estimation.

    Well I asked about red meat because I was told that I need to eat a lot of it to help me gain more muscle for this year. But I have heard that it isn't good for you. Something about corlesteral(sp) so I was just wondering.

    Also how do some of you guys handle doing that eat a little now and a little later stuff? I find it so hard to do.

    Red meat is supposidly really bad for your heart. This is what I hear anyways. I personally stick to chicken and fish because I dont feel like FK like I do when I eat beef.

    Beef has a high calories-from-fat ratio, whereas leaner meats like chicken and fish give your body more healthy stuff to work with. It's just choosing better options really. Red meat isn't bad in moderation.

    Do you mean small proportioned meals several times a day (6-8)?

    Because what you just said is bad, very bad if you are trying to lose weight.

    Eating several small proportioned meals is very hard to do, you have to eat on intervals even if you aren't hungry and the only way to do it is to plan out your entire days food intake in advance which means taking food with you to work. It's difficult to do, and requires alot of work, but losing weight isn't easy... Also you'll find you have more energy throughout the day - I don't need any coffee or tea or any form of caffeine at all anymore, not even in the mornings that I work at 4:45am.

    I'm not trying to lose weight really and I don't really skip meals unless I'm busy.

    I mean more like splitting meals up like 6 a day.

    If I wanna put on more muscle for a sport what food should I really avoid ? I hear so many things but I don't know what to believe these days.

    You get used to it pretty fast; I really don't even think about it anymore. Also, like I said, just eat the leanest meat you can find; as long as you're not eating a fuckton of fatty meat, you shouldn't have to worry.

Also if you're having trouble losing weight in general you should try switching from standard cardio to HIIT.[/quote]

    Your body will not start metabolizing muscle for energy until there are no fat reserves left.
