I've been watching late-night talkshows and the like long enough to appreciate not being too hard on an interviewee in the hopes that they'll talk to you again, and this interview didn't provide any less info than the rest. However, it's just natural for us to want to drag answers out of these people by any means necessary, and when the interviewer is one of us (a person who plays the game), there's a general feeling of "You let them off with THAT!?"

Considering what was expected of Chocobo Racing/Raising, it's just as pertinent.

A raised Chocobo's stamina is actually superior to a rental, iirc, but Speed isn't.
A single whistle charge costs twice as much as even the most used chocobo rental (Mea.)
Receptivity has no known relevance outside of Racing, and there it's still minimal.
Chocobos are somehow able to follow you over and ocean instantly, but can't be led up a mountain.

Just fixing the first and last points would immediately make money required for raising worth the while.

Instead of just nerfing TP burns, they could just offer better bonus effects or incentives to exp in the old areas. Because, let's face, we won't see 25k+/hr in Sky or in KRT.

is this a joke? for sky you may be right but im pretty certain 25-30k is doable in krt even though i haven't been there since before toau came out =(

Say what you will about alla, even if you are complaining about their admins asking the questions their audience cares about, but Pikko is great, and has done as much as any other player for the player base.

Imperial, don't bother. People are going to mock Zam just because they've seen others mock it, or maybe just because they've had bad experiences with Zam. (The latter is more justified, but not really "okay," I would think.)

[/quote:db0e9]I would agree that FFXIclopedia's interview is better, but considering chocobo racing is about as notorious as Absolute Virtue and Einherjar, it's okay to ask about either 3. Just be glad no one said "Please make Salvage cost only 1000 AP and change the drop rate for all level 35 Salvage armor to 100%." However, I guess my main problem with asking about chocobo racing as opposed to something else is that chocobo racing has a lot left to be added, they've even said so, so obviously there is more on the way.

So you'd rather have the Pit so you can play pokamans... roight? lol

Anywho. I'm not going to say that either is better than the other. The ffxiclopedia had a lot more to do with end-game and really specific ideas, which is a good thing. But unlike the alla interview, i'd say about half of the answers were "We can't tell you" "We have no plans" and "No comment". Not a whole lot of information for a new expansion (but questions that we want answered for sure). Meanwhile, the Alla one was less popular questions (such as chocobo crud), but you got "Well, we plan on doing 'this'" and "You can expect to see that implemented soon".

Also, I bet these interviews happened at different times, so people can get tired and other feelings of "wut"

Stop trying to get the initiative on a joke so you can get a better seat on the bandwagon, it's pathetic.

How good an interview is going to be is also based on the fact how good the interviewees will be. If SE gives more information to FFXIclopedia, it isn't Allakhazam's fault.

Not related, but Im EXTREMELY nervous about SE tampering with the jobs in repsect to merit parties. The idea has "theyre going to fk it up" all over it, in my eyes..

All they said was they were/might increase the strength of monsters. This really isn't so bad. The most likely case scenario, assuming we are understanding them right, monsters like Colibri won't be like "LOL punchingbag". Really great parties will cap at or a bit under 20k an hour and semi-shitty parties will not reach 20k an hour. Honestly though, I would be more upset if they didn't include new camp/monsters/exp gain that work well with SC+MB... because all they would be doing is making people gain less exp and no one would be gaining more exp(or getting more invites).

They're gonna replace Greater Colibri with "Greater Ziz", Sea Puks (Bhaflau) with Battle Bugards, Mamool Ja on Tandjana and by the staging point with Mamool Ja Hussars (wivres, essentially), Heraldic Imps (Azouph, Dvucca, and Hediva Isle) with "Heraldic Vampyrs" and "Heraldic Dvergar". Watch.
