Not that I'm a fan of Alla, but Wiki asking SE if they're going to finish Aht Urhgan before WoG was the dumbest question across all interviews. Far more so than just inquiring about chocobo raising.

Because why go with a balanced PT when a stupid pack of meleers and a semi-useful RDM can get "l33t" exp while destroying any chance of a 20K/hr run for anyone else?
The problem is that whatever you put in, if "dumb" tactics will work, that's exactly what human nature will result in. ToAU dumbed down exp mobs. Too much.
At the rate they are adding ToAU mission content, I think it was a valid question.Originally Posted by Gwynplaine

The new mobs I spoke of would not be dumbed down. You could go as far as giving a SC or MB damage bonus to said mobs which encourages forming skill chains and including BLMs and could potentially give a "burn" party experience by the amount of dmg that can be dealt and quickness of deaths. Create more mobs/camps for regular parties to give the players a choice, but dont streamline/force people to exp/merit in ways they dont want to and FUCK up their fun.

AN-style quest: Update after that (October?)
Spoiler-ish: I'm guessing the next update will feature 2 battles--one involving Alexander/Razfahd (Nyzul?) and the other involving Luzaf becoming the rider and losing his free will/Flit/Odin.
I'm guessing ANesque quest would require final mercernary rank, too.
OMG, Pikko is posting on BG! D:
I said I'd never do this because I have zero interest in getting into the drama that goes on between the users on Zam and the users here, but I was curious as to what you all thought of the interview and so came by to read responses and such. Sonomaa encouraged me to register, so here I am.
I want to say thanks first of all to everyone who read the interview and gave feedback, whether it was negative or positive. This was my first interview with the devs and the first interview I'd ever conducted period so naturally I was a bit scared (ok, I was actually quite terrified) and was a bit starstruck and stressed out, especially since I'd been expecting to meet only with Tanaka-san. But I feel much better about this now that I've gone through it once.
I have to admit I'm a little perplexed over why my interview has gotten lumped into one question about Chocobo Racing when I only mentioned it in passing and the question itself was not even directly about it. I guess if that's how you see it though, you're entitled to that opinion. lol
I hope that by posting here I can help to alleviate some of the aggro that goes on between our two communities as I firmly believe that we are two completely different kinds of communities and that there is no need for such open hostility.
I donno does Allakhazam believe in Yin?

For the record, I thought the interview was pretty good
I said it earlier, but I'd like to mention again that 1up.com had most of the questions about Chocobo Racing, not Pikko. If anyone makes that mistake again, theyll be banned!!Originally Posted by Jooeetheplatypus
Ok, so I cant ban anyone, but if I see it again... Ill pound my fist on my desk REALLY REALLY hard!! >;O!
Actually, Qutrubs at the Dvucca Isle staging point are excellent for a standard/MB party setup but still no one goes there.Originally Posted by Kyreth
There are also "alternate" burn party set-ups that can include BLM, like Nin, Nin, Sam, Blm, Blm, Rdm on harder mobs like Trolls, but again, no one does that.
I would be pretty disappointed if they kept the pace and ended ToAU with two-three more BC fights, thou I guess it wouldn't be that surprising.Originally Posted by Jooeetheplatypus
Hopefully if they do end it in the next two patches, one of them is bigger than any of the previous story additions. Something akin to CoP's three paths update.Originally Posted by fantasticdan
I more disappointed on how much ToAU's storyline doesn't cover. We just get a peek at two of the beastmen leaders and I fear that will be it. Hopefully we get some quests giving more details than we already know, like reverse Serpent General quests.
btw, anyone still hating on Pikko's interview at this point is being stupid. Bad enough someone had to make up the concept of a Chocobo Raising question in it to get a joke in.
At first I was going to say this was the best thing I've ever seen you post on this board. Then I realized it was one of the best things I've ever seen posted on this board by anyone. People following this bit of advice would make the whole forum a much better place. Kudos to you.Originally Posted by BRP
I really liked the Pikko's interview. Also appreciate that she allowed BG to ask some questions. Really nice to see :3
Eh they said they were going more for a Zilart type mission structure before ToAU was releasedOriginally Posted by fantasticdan
Oh god, defending Allakhazam is the new cool thing to do? Fuck, this sucks.
Oh no, Alla is still a shitty place. But give credit where credit is due.. the interview wasnt that bad.Originally Posted by Taj
Pretty good for a first post. Not as bad as mine here.Originally Posted by Pikko
