Not that i don't like the trailer, but does it seem a little to campy for what MSG usually is? Evil, courage, and solid blah blah blah. Makes it look like a steroid infused action movie, when it's far from that.

I was thinking the same, hell I even thought it was the trailer for the movie or a fake video.
Edit: Or maybe they are riding the GTA bandwagon, after all one of the MGS3 teaser trailers had a reference to GTA.

This is just a reflection of Kojima's sense of humor. I mean, in what I think was the first released trailer, Old Snake has a heart attack. Shit's hilarious.

They call this one a "theatrical trailer" because they are playing it up like a PR-firm's vision of a blockbuster movie. Just a stylistic choice, not intended to be an accurate reflection of the game.

MGS has always been camp imo. naked raiden, gay vampires who walk on water? the horrible loldrama packed dialogue, la le lu le lo, fhm mags, the pain, the sorrow (the end was pretty bad ass tho)

saving my money for a PS3 now for this, I hope this is the final MGS, I'd like them to wrap it up all nice and tight. It's really bad to drag out stories too long, and MGS4 is the perfect time to really finish things up.

Campy was the wrong word, cliché works better i think, in terms of the trailer.
