    sam/rng

    best arrows for meriting?
    gods?
    any suggestions would be appreciated

    kabura. you'll only be using it for sidewinders and soboro for TP

    Demon / Kabura (kabura for WS / overall cause they are strongest)

    i have tried this on gods, and unfortuately i didnt have "awsome" gear (read: PCC and S. kote) so 90% of the time i found its not worth it. i even went to a Kirin and did sam/rng and focused more on /rng than chasing it around with a soboro for more RACC (used a trail kukri(sp)) and it wasnt worth it at all for me to be there.

    imo, sam/rng is fun for xp in the mire, or elsewhere that is squishy to piercing; on sky farms its semi useful; gods and anything else, i will pretty much say gtfo sam/rng.

    sam/thf > sam/rng in sky 90% of the time, and since i have 75blm personally, that takes precedence on kited mobs (and really anything i need to come as blm to)


    (summery: not worth it outside of xp/skillup/fun/select BC fights)

    SAM/RNG is dead except for EXP in mire. But who is meriting there anyway?

    We use a sam/rng for LBC.... idk seems to do fine dmg.

    SAM/RNG is really useful for Snoll, that's for sure. Spirit Surge + Sidewinder Barrage, and I totally gunned down the Tzar in a few seconds.

    Haven't tried it out for Xp though.

    it's not bad for salvage either, since most stuff isn't particularly evasive and you can unlock either weapon first and become 'not gimp'.

    generally it's better to be sam/thf for sky gods.

    ah yes, completely forgot this fight.. it is a better sub choice for this (i personally threw out back to back 1960(ish) sidewinders, as well as other high dmg shots) so i guess i should edit my summery for xp/skillup/fun/select BCs aswell :S
