I dunno if having 4gb's of ram in a 32bit operating system can cause it to crash but I know you can only utilize a max of something like 3.5, try running with only 2gb and see if it makes any difference though I kinda doubt it...
iirc 32 bit can use 4GB of RAM just not to one process and can't see all of it, right? I had 4GB of hebrew RAM but got 2GB of quality RAM instead
They aren't just icons, they notify you of problems. Thats nTunes in the NVIDIA MonitorView. Red means the component is out of it's range and suffer damage.Originally Posted by Amele
i would wager it's the PSU. do you know how many amps are on your rails?
then it's indicating whether more than just voltage is out of range or not, since none of those voltages are outside of what could reasonably be called normal operating parameters, assuming that's DDR2 and he doesn't have a very unusual quad core.Originally Posted by Lost
at second glance, it looks like you're undervolting your RAM, by how much I don't know since you didn't specify a brand, but if its HQ RAM then thats largely below the recommended voltage, my RAM running at stock clocks draws 2.3V, that could/would cause crashes
Sorry to leave you guys in suspense. I was right.....bad video card. I took the other of my two out (just so happened that I had tried the wrong one first so I had dismissed the possibility of a bad GPU because I was lazy) and I've been running 5 GPU/CPU intensive programs for 4 days straight now without issues. Getting a new one from Newegg as we speak. Hope it's not just being mega-dormant ;/
FINALLY I CAN SLEEP
