    I guess your group is doing the first floor in the wrong way. You shouldn't kill any wamoura prince before you kill those 3 wamoura near portal. Because there are like 3 abilities cells could drop from the wamoura, plus the magic cells which you can give to blms. Thoes prince which you might need to kill a bunch will die way faster after you get all those cells. And you should be able to fully gear up most of your group on the first floor.

    Another advise is, let one of the MNK/NIN change to NIN/WAR. Our NIN/WAR can solo tank on LBC with brd + rdm debuff support easilly. I'm MNK, I use sushi on LBC, but i find out it's really hard to hold hate on myself, unless i keep meleeing LBC all the way. And what I do is melee > get 40-50%TP > run away from AoE range > wait after the TP move > go in melee, repeat. With only one tank to take care of, our healer, 1 WHM + 1 RDM, can easily handle it.

    Calling BS on 50 dmg with a kraken, but it still is a decent weapon on 1f.

    The fastest possible way to clear the first floor of Bhaflau Remnants, no questions asked, if you have 2 Monks, a Red Mage, and a Bard:

    Incus x2 from chest -> MNKs
    Opacus x2 from chest -> Both MNKs
    Prae from chest -> RDM > BRD
    Duplicatus from chest -> MNK

    Clear all Bifrons and Trolls up to and including the room with the + sign walls and 3 Wamouracampa. Kill the 3 Wamouracampa in the room right then (may only apply if you got 2 Abilities from chest, hard to say otherwise), and move onto the next room. Bifrons/Trolls > all 6 Wamouracampa. Then go up to the Wamoura room and clear it out, before porting up.

    Give all equipment to 1 Monk first, followed by the second Monk, then whoever else (based on what you're doing for the rest of the run: for example, if you're doing the 10 gears and you only have 2 BLMs, I'd say give equip 3/4 to both of them, for each slot).

    None of this nonsense about giving DRKs and WARs weapons first but not abilities - it's a total waste of cells in Bhaflau (any area really), because abilities not coupled with weapons will make the weapon skills weak. If you have a Ridill WAR, giving them the first Weapon, SJ, Abilities is definitely best. You don't need more than 1 ability cell to clear what you need on 1F in under 25 minutes, comfortably. In Bhaflau, giving weapons to the Monks first is good because more will drop soon anyway, and speeding up that first battle or two will speed your entire run up.

    Also, I've done LBC 3x in the past 2 weeks now with my new JP group, and they killed the 4F Chariot every time under the impression that it gives defense down. I've also done LBC twice in the last weak. I use Sushi with my JP group and meat with my group because, well, I lead my group so I usually tell the Bard to give me Minuet/Madrigal or March/Madrigal depending on the situation. I still do a lot more damage with meat, not killing the 4F chariot. Sushi is noticably less, so it does not feel like it gives the chariot a defense down. If you want to hit the chariot stronger, use a Barbarian's Drink.

    Here's my dumb question of the day...

    Could a level 71 BRD reliably land Elegy on LBC, or does he basically need to be 75/well-geared/merited?

    Can't vouch for LBC, but I've had a 70 BRD for BC, and he didn't seem to have too much of an issue with elegy IIRC

    Granted that the lack of elegy on BC is by far less fatal and noticeable compared to LBC...since people die/goes near death whenever elegy wear off on LBV.
