Video Errors

this is what happened when i try to open two different movies. I just upgraded Video Cards from a NIvida 6600GT at 128mb to a Nvidia 8600GT 256mb. This never happened before on my 6600GT and the card seems to work just fine with FFXI, Counter Strike, and F.E.A.R. Any ideas of what could cause this.

FYI i have not added or removed and drivers.
I use VLC media player v. 0.8.5

Best bet: reinstall drivers.

Ive installed 3 sets of drivers

offical, older offical drivers, and then some from tweaksrus


still to no avail

Have you tried different video players? I know VLC has an OpenGL rendering mode, could try that. If that doesn't work try adjusting video acceleration in the the nvidia control panel under video/overlay options.

Also, upgrade your divx to the newest version as this seems to be whats causing the problem.

Almost worked fine in Media Player Classic

But Winamp was fail and so was VLC

My thoughts are possible Temp Error, because that is what this problem reminds me of sheerly based off how it chooses to display graphical errors. Or a possible error with the card it self. As for software problems I am wondering if its a video render or something else. When it comes to how video works I am retarded in the software part.
