I think if you're a pld main and don't know the recast on chivalry you gave up your right to make posts in this thread.

Sadly I haven't used PLD for a while, my main being RDM now. PLD was my first 75 though. I didn't intend to start on a big explanation like that but I got quoted and wanted to answer. But you're right, if you don't know what you're talking about, just stfu lol

Just a thought. Anyone know if Martial Anelace TP bonus works with Chivalry?

Edit: I'm pretty sure that Chivalry fully meritted is 15 minutes.
It should be unrelated, since Chivalry isn't a weaponskill and doesn't depend on your weapon in any way as far as I can tell. Without doing any testing it just seems like a simple calculation based on your raw amount of TP and a minor (I think its MND) modifier.

I would put it up there as one of the best bodies for HNM Paladin. JT Refresh + Parade Gorget + Ares's Cuirass gets you close to relic horn Ballad, and it has a good amount of HP/VIT/DEF. Especially if you have pieces like Bahamut's Mask, Homam hands, Hades earring +1, Sattva ring around it, you can toss your Valor Surcoat or Hydra Haubert into your spike hate JA macros (Sentinel, Rampart), or just switch them on full-time for shorter fights.

If you're having difficulty with finding opportunities to dump your full MP in some of the smoother fights, have yourself or a mage make a macro like BLMs use for Sorcerer's ring that lets you toss a quick Cure IV.

Another nice use for it is if you use a Warrior to co-tank with your Monk in Salvage. Man/Jugg with a strong DD build, Carbonara and Ares's cuirass makes for a pretty mean Salvage tank with its combo of attack, HP and Provoke/Warcry. Its what I've been doing lately for mega bosses and it has me sitting at 520 base attack, 1,600 HP I believe, and I have no problems with ACC.

not that servers are teaming with them, but all the relic DRK DRG and those working on relic out there would love to have one and still sit @ 5acc over adaberk or homam body. also afaik ares is the best steel cyclone body peice in the game, but would be a hard sell for WAR/NIN.

    Are's > Valkyrie > Shadow > Osode ~ Hecatomb > Haub+1 > Haub for Steel Cyclone

I have seen quite a few War/Nin's with Are's running around in their WS gear lately, not such a hard sell apparently.

despends on the fact if SE is willing to toss out the full Valhalla gear instead of only body and helm. as it stand now its -10& damage taken and +10% slow. Definitly a nice piece to reduce magic dmg taken, but for bloodtanking the -10% dmg taken is not enough and for /nin tanking the -dmg taken is not realy a necessary. if they releas feet legs and hands with equal stats -25% dmg taken might bring bloodtanking back (especially in combination with D.ring and an Aegis you might be looking than at -35% physical dmg reduction and -60% magic dmg reduction)

It does so you could wear all that and Jelly Ring, still capping -MD% and getting 5% more -PD%.

I honestly wouldn't touch bloodtanking even with that crap and the 10% slow isn't worth it anyway.

The horns on the Valhalla Head, however, are worth it.
