anyone seen this film? i just watched it last night and i just was REALLY confused after watching it
anyone else care to tell me what the hell that mechanical "bolt" thing actually was? ¬_¬ why did Luna agree to going with the Neoroids? AGH so many unanswered questions!

Yeah, music composer was the same for both.

The movie is based on a manga, so it's safe to assume they butchered the story like they do for any manga/movie adaption. Probably why the bolt (and many other thing) never had any real explanation. No idea why Luna went with him, I thought she was kidnapped, but I barely remember the ending.

I saw that a while ago, but I was just as confused as you. I think everyone dies in the end, but that's about all I remember beyond the premise and a few random flashbacks to the mutant guy's hometown.

Fight scenes weren't bad though. I couldn't help but LOL @ the guy who looks like Dante from DMC >_>

The bolt is apparently a divine 'tool' to bring human life to a world.

The present humans apparently, where not pure. Their genomes had mutated. The people in those flashbacks that eventually became the Neo-Humans. Were the only people left that had pure unmutated genomes. They were killed and their body parts were taken to that Military facility for Tetsuyas Dad to do research on to isolate the Neo-cells so that they could rejuvenate degenerated Human genomes.

The army had sent in troops to capture and exterminate all the pure humans. And when they were all gathered at the facility. "God" or Casshern in this instance, I guess sent the bolt to re-start life. Seeing as "pure" human genetics had ceased existing.

The bolt started to reconstruct life. The military had gathered basically the 'primordial soup and body parts' into one location so thats why the bolt hit there. Everything required to start life was already gathered. So thats when the neo-humans first popped up.

The neo-humans then escaped to strike back later.

At the end this should make sense. When Tetsuya takes Luna and go to a new planet, becoming a new bolt to start human life on it.


Now as for Luna going with the Neo-humans. She really had no choice. She was basically kidnapped without resistance.

wow...that really butchered that scene lol...was the best action scene in the film =/
