Absolute Virtue Theory

This was brought up on Allakhazam in the Absolute Virtue Theory thread. I have seen this theory tested nowhere and thought it would be a good idea to
post it here and see if anyone has in fact tested it out. It seems like a theory that isn't too impractical too attempt and worth a shot in my opinion.

This theory seems to be the only still conceivable concrete theory that hasn't been tested. The UFO are NMs. Their are 15 of these throughout Al'Taieu. 15 is the amount of jobs available to us when Absolute Virtue was implemented. The UFO also just happen to be the same mob as Jailor of Love, which is directly connected to Absolute Virtue by way of how Absolute Virtue's Regen effect is reduced. SE continuously sticks to hinting about focusing on influencing Absolute Virtue's Regen effect whenever asked to give information regarding the secret behind defeating Absolute Virtue.

If this isn't it, their isn't much left to go on that isn't "out there". It would be something if an LS does test this theory out and it is in fact the secret behind defeating Absolute Virtue.

Hmm, I think killing all 15 right before AV pops would be a little extreme. If it does turn out to be true (SE said something about surrounding mobs right?) I'd think they would make it so that as long as all 15 are dead at once sometime during AV being up would weaken it. Although, it would still be quite a pain to get enough people to knock the mobs down low and keep them there until moments before JoL is killed. Other than that, has anyone ever just tried killing Aerns in the zone while AV is up? (I'm sure they have.)

tbh...I think SE might have unknowingly fucked with AV
Right at the time we kill was at the tail end of the Wall of Justice method. When we killed, we shared our strat and basically exactly what we did, and people on other servers used it. For a while, this was the strat for killing AV - many (5-6) linkshells found success in doing this. Right after a maintenance (I don't remember which one...but I know it was after one), suddenly nobody could lock it. All linkshells on all servers tried with no avail. It has been 10+ months now since AV has been killed on any server, yet just days before the "dry streak" started, AV was killed once a week. It makes no sense.

So 2 possible scenario's in my mind:
1) SE unknowingly fucked with AV during that maintenance. It's possible considering all the unrelated problems that occur from a maintenance, and it really isn't something they would notice.
2) All linkshells got REALLY lucky on their kills. Because of the span of all the legit kills, the chance of this happening would be somewhere in the 1/million+

Let's say you need the exact skillchain on the exact day with the right amount of JoL summons killed...The probability of doing that, let's say being conservative, is 1/(8 days * 5 normally used SC's) * 1/5 chance of killing "enough" mobs..thats 1/200. All the legit AV kills (the way we did it) were done in a span of 4 weeks iirc...about 12 or so kills, again, iirc. The probability of a 1/200 chance happening over let's say 25 spawns 12 times is retarded to think possible. Not only that, but to compound it with 10 months of it NEVER happening, it makes 0 sense

Sure this doesn't sound like the best theory, but if people would at least try new stuff instead of letting it depop, due to them believing it's impossible to kill, I'm sure we would have figured out a way by now.

Look at the Zhayolm Remnants Thread about the Madam which hasn't been poped. People actually share the stuff they tested and work together to find a way. Now try to do that for AV too.

I'd rather like to see mods deleting posts that say "lolebonpanels" than people who bring up strategies/theories...

I don't think it's a bad theory. I can see where it has correlations, but community as a whole just isn't willing to pony up the time and XP to try it out anymore.

Nobody ever comes here and starts a thread with "Well I tried this theory on AV and it didn't work...". It's just people who have never even seen it making stuff up wanting someone else to try their brilliant idea.

I really don't think many are willing to sacrifice their exp and time to try out some of these theories.

Also, for those who care so much about these theories:

-I assume you have Sea access for one.
-I assume you have a linkshell that does Jailers.

Assuming the above is true, why aren't you testing the theories out instead of bitching about others not testing them?

If the above aren't true, then why do you care?
