    War Question

    Allright, so my war parse is lacking... keep hearing all kinds of arguments back and foreth between my friends about ACC, STR, ATK, Haste builds... what's ideal?

    I've tried sushi, as well as meat, can't find a good ballance.

    At the moment, using:

    ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
    TP setup:
    Maneater - Mainhand
    Woodville - Offhand
    Bomb Core
    Walahra Turban
    PCC
    Suppanomimi
    Fowling Earring *Changing to brutal earring after next limbus run when I get the last of my coins...*
    Hauby
    Dusk Gloves
    Raja's Ring
    Jaeger Ring
    Amemet Mantle +1
    Life Belt *Still trying for Swift Belt/Speed Belt*
    Barone Cosciales
    Fighter's Calliage
    ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
    Rampage Setup:

    Maineater - Mainhand
    Woodville - Offhand
    Bomb Core
    Adaman Celata
    PCC
    Suppanomimi
    Fowling Earring
    Kirin's Osode
    Hecatomb Mittens
    Raja's Ring
    Flame Ring
    Amemet Mantle +1
    Warwolf Belt
    Barone Cosicales
    Fighter's Calliage *Working on rutters*

    ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
    Can anyone offer some advice to boost my %'s in parse?
    *Edit for spelling.
    Re: War Question
    Wood/Man, higher damage weapon goes in the mainhand. Don't TP in Rajas, get a sniper or something else. Get Dusk/Amir feet, and if theres any hope of Haidate, sell your soul for it.
    Use more acc gear in your rampage, such as O-hat and Life/Potent Belt and rings. Osode is garbage, use your Haubergeon. For a six hit WS, you're going to need a lot of acc.
    All of this is assuming you're eating meat. Meat still might not be practical in somewhere like Nyzul or Mamool north without a madrigal, though, and that usually only happens when you get two BRDs (March/March/Mad/Min).
    Get Joyeuse, do more WS.
    Or get Juggy and improve your overall performance.
    Re: War Question
    What kind of friends have you that they didn't tell you to swap axes in a first place ^^;
    For TP I would put either Amirs or Dusk on feet (you can also Unicorn but I, personally, don't like something that doesn't work when you need it the most). Forager's instead of Amemet+1 if you have some gils to spare and Potent Belt over Life Belt till you get Swift/Speed.
    For WS if you have acc troubles (and I'm quite sure you have), stay on Hauby and Potent. You will loose some of your STR+ but with more reliable acc it should only benefit. Soil Gorget for Rampage wouldn't be that bad also, although I can't tell wheter PCC or Sea Gorget gives you more acc on WS.
    That is if you want to use sushi (I had never tried meat so can't help you with that^^). Sushi with one Madrigal should be enough to hit almost 90% acc on Mamools (I'm having ~92% but I'm Adaberk WAR with Ridill and Fort Torque). I'm usually using COR and BRD combo in pt, with DRK it's very good (Chaos Roll, March/Madrigal), can easily chain endlessly mamools in Nyzul Isle and with exp boost from COR exp per hour is crazy.
    And forget bout lolJoy, get Juggy :D Joy is good only on Colibris and Puks anyway
    Re: War Question
    Quick question about that, how does Joyeuse fare nowadays? I'm currently using Maneater/Joyeuse, with 8 Sword+Suppa and 1 Axe (keeping the skills even at 271 at the moment until I decide what I want to do with my SAM). I'm not touching my Sword merits for my PLD's sake, but would switching to Wood/Man serve me better with a full 8 Axe or is it only worth it with a Juggy?
    WTF? if your friends don't slap you every time you eat sushi, then you are in no position to judge his friends.
    The general consensus is that Man/Joy works just fine in meripo/dyna/limbus etc etc, but on higher level mobs like hnm/gods you're probably better off with Wood/Man.
    Right, but is that because of the skill difference, lolmobtp, or the base damage? Not trying to refute you, because that's the reason I've kept my Woody around in the first place, I'm just trying to find out why.
    Re: War Question
    Damage/Skill both help out.
    I'd go Man/Juggy on HNM if I were to Axe/Axe... that att+ is too insane to pass up o_o
    Of course I have no gil for juggy and my loaner is long gone. ^^;
    Ok, so then even though I have both skills sitting at 271, it's still worth it simply because using 50/49 is better than 49/35 on an HNM, even if that 35 is hitting 1.5 times on average.
    in your case it might be different fer, since your sword skill is so high relative to your axe skill right now that the accuracy and attack is less of an issue. (in fact, it's almost no issue) - so you might want to compare whether the increased TP from joyeuse is worth the slightly reduced WS damage from maining maneater.
    Re: War Question
    Its worth testing and seeing for yourself, but a lot of my WAR friends say that Joyeuse gives too many hits for zero or single digit swings.
    Re: War Question
    They're both dead even at 271 on my WAR (250+16+5 Sword and 269+2 Axe). I know in XP it works well, and I can't stand how much more slowly I gain TP with Axe/Axe in XP. The main thing is the increased DMG rating against HNM I'd get from using Wood/Man instead of Man/Joy.
    I used to DD Fafnir as PLD/WAR a long time ago (LS used NINs exclusively, but I still showed up to every camp and we were always shorthanded, so I'd SC with whichever melee we had at the time) and I had trouble breaking 0 even with Berserk up. I haven't done ground kings since before my WAR hit 75 though, so I can't really speak to it, but I'd always attributed my 0s to PLD's low attack, and never really thought about Joyeuse's DMG as possibly being the issue.
    I stopped reading at Woodville's in offhand. If that wasn't a typo you seriously need to go back to dual wielding melee school.
    I've found that perdu hanger offhand isn't so bad for HNM type stuff if you want to stick with axe/sword. The extra 15 att +5 acc stacked with the +att and acc on maneater mainhand helps out a fair bit, and with absolutely no proof, I'd like to believe it'd pull a bit ahead of wood/man. While its no Juggy, its a nice middle of the road compromise IMO.
