Disgaea 3

How popular is Disgaea really, I wonder?
I haven't talked to anyone outside of the internet that knows a damn thing about either of the other games.

I haven't had the pleasure of playing either of them myself either.

Honestly, if not for 4chan I'd never even have heard of the games. Well, maybe Disgaea 2 for the Bloodninja reference.

Precisely. The only PAL games I buy are the ones I don't really keep track of or really care about. The type where you walk into a game shop and see it on the shelf.

Anyway, it's worth playing through 1 and 2 for their stories, just try rent/borrow them and play through as much as you can. I wouldn't recommend doing everything since 3 will be old news before you do that.

I've been sortve interested in this game, thinking about dling Disgaea 2 to give me something to work off of.

I'm a little worried though, I was reading ign reviews and the game sounds a little complicated. Seating assignments, clubs, a lot of things that apparantly help your overall play.

Hopefully i'm just overreacting =\

It probably isn't all that complicated at all. Lot of things that sound complicated on paper are actually really simple once you start doing them.

You'll have a few thousand levels of grinding to get used to the mechanics anyways.

So how is this game supposed to be different from the other disgaea games? I've only played one other game in the series, and I couldn't stand the grind after awhile. If this is just the same old grind with new characters/setting, I think I'll pass.

Where are you/do you import from Elcura? Only import site I know of is Playasia but unless I'm missing something they don't seem to be delivering it to Europe.

http://www.videogamesplus.ca/ is where I usually import from on the internet. In London there's a shop in west end called Game Focus that also does imports as well. The site is pretty cheap though, I order SSBB there and got it within a day or two for dirt cheap.

Payment is a bit awkward, but fine if you have the right CC or just use paypal.

I still don't know whether to buy it or not. I hear many good things about the series but it honestly doesn't look half as fun as FF:T or FF:TA to me.
