Yes, they have to deal with them, but how does something a company didn't create have anything to do with their business practices? As for your argument about Walmart, it was the entire basis for my comment. Learn to read. You did an amazing job ignoring my comments about culture though. Who's the hypocrite again?
You're arguing that a Japanese company, steeped in Japanese culture and business practices, adopt an extremely American view of business. It's not about who's right or who's wrong, it's about the fucking culture. Try to run a business in Japan using your ideology, you'll fail miserably. Likewise, a Japanese businessman starting a business in America using his ideology will get eaten up by American workers. Think about the culture you're discussing before making a blanket statement.
Arguing against exploitation and using tools (programs to get an advantage in games or products sold through companies that exploit other companies through tactics) makes you the hypocrite. They are not irrelevant to the issue at all. I'm calling bullshit on your beliefs. I'm saying your full of shit by arguing that exploitation is wrong but have no problem using services provided through exploitation. That's like being a member of Peta and eating meat or using insulin which was founded through animal testing. SE has been against cheating and exploitation and it shows in their monthly bannings. What SE does in the name of their culture I really don't give a shit. But that doesn't mean I have to agree with how they do what they do. Welcome to my culture. I shop at walmart and use windower. If I can get it cheaper then why would I pay more for the same product from someone else. And as you said I'm not wrong in these thought because they are a part of my culture.
And where do you think these 'business practices' that America and Japan have originate from? Oh yeah - their CULTURE. I don't need to comment on a country's culture when is common sense that their business practices are founded on it. It's the same thing.
Again you're not looking at the bigger picture. The world is becoming more connected and pretty much 'smaller' everyday. And to address your running a business in Japan/America points I'd run a business most likely in America founded on Japan's efficiency and America's costing cutting practices. To this day I don't know why more companies are embracing theories and practices and learning from other countries in the world. I like to have a more global perspective on things and learn from others. Some things work and some things don't. If you are fine accepting the excuses of 4 years ago fine, but that's not me.

SE: Because we want everyone playing the same version, we have the wall of the PS2 version. While there is the ability to create better stuff with the PC, it would leave the PS2 players stuck. But more than the
memory issue, probably the biggest problem with adding new hairstyles or races or face types, we would have to go back and [re-model] those pieces for this type of hair, and do that for the thousands of models of armor.
That's probably the biggest thing, there's just not the time and manpower to do that.
Sorry but when I think "memory issue", "hardware capacity" doesn't seem like a solution to me. When I think memory I think RAM. Adding a bigger hard drive is not the same as adding more RAM. You're going to need to explain this one a bit better. They've been saying the limitations are on the PS2 - not their hard drive.
