I just finished season 2 and all I can say is wow. No television show or movie has ever been this good to me.

Dexter has seriously spoiled my standards for rating good TV.

It makes me sad that everything I watch from now on won't be as good as this.

i'm a bit leery about next season's "new code, new dexter" I wonder if the kids will develop how they do in the book or do we get even further from the source material in season 3.

I hope they go away from the third book (keeping in elements like season 2), because the direction of the third book is well...weird.

I just bought the books and will be reading them over the holidays. I've heard rumors of The Doctor being the main focus in season 3 but I don't know if they're based on anything or just speculation.

Hall just did an amazing acting job the last few episodes. Last episode had me going oh shit oh shit oh shit a few times. When Lila opens her door in Paris and you see the postcard from Miami, I was like oh maaaaaan, then boom Dexter.

Only thing I'm hoping for in season 3 is no LaGuerda. I just can not stand that woman, any scene she's in, i'm like uuuuuuugggghhhhh. Also I'm happy Lundy's gone, the weird sex jokes with the old man were getting weird.

Yes he does have a sister. Her name is Debra.

and she's tall/lanky too. Dexter's "enemy" if you could call him that also wants her booty in season 1. It is requited though unlike dexter's lab.

i liked season 1 more. the end of season 2 was sorta looking like filler in the sort of "everything will go back to normal by the end" so they could continue with the story from the books. Even through dexter learning about how his dad died that still didn't change anything in the end either. not that it wasn't great but dexter killing his brother and learning about his past is >
