Harry Potter Spoilars!

I remember reading some interview with JK about the book and she said something about someone who has never used magic using it in this book...who was that?

I'd have to see the quote, but maybe she meant petunia? Before this book we're left to assume she never saw magic being done by Lily. Also, she wrote to the hogwarts headmaster, and it was pointed out it was very unusual for a muggle to be able to do that, let alone get a reply. Other then that, would need to see the quote. Its possible its just worded weird.

What I want to know is what's up with the clocks in the 3'rd movie that was so special. She said in a making of interviewParaphrase)

"When I saw the way he included the clock, I was just shocked. Thats going to come into play later in the series in a big way".

That, combined with dumbledore's pocket watch being a model of the solar system and her constant use of astrology make me wonder if there isn't something hidden in book 7 that I completely fricking missed.

my cousins dad bought the book and gave it to me to read on the way to my brothers wedding, and I read the whole thing in the trip there and back. I was looking at the spoilers and for those that are worried the story has been spoiled, only 1 or 2 of those are correct, and then remotly.

To my surprise there were alot more deaths than I was expecting, and many plot twists that were surprising. The book was different from the others but in a good way. I heard somewhere that there were only going to be the death of 2 main characters, but I guess the term was used loosely around some of them.



also for those that have finished the book, I missed one important thing(maybe I was tired) PM me with the response or since this seems to be the discussion about spoilers. what happened to the Snake? I don't remmeber it saying the snake was killed or anything like that anywhere.

Wow, man, you must have been tired. Neville was called out in front of everyone by Voldemort towards the end, and was forced to put the sorting hat on, which Voldemort set on fire. He drew Godric's sword out of the hat (we assume) and lopped off the head of the snake. Probably his best moment of the entire series.

maybe kreacher? Don't recall kreacher doing magic before. the way its worded in this thread I dont' know if it means 'the first we have seen this person do magic' or 'the first time this person has ever performed magic'. Would like to see a quote of the original

in the interview J.K. Rowling says Harry and Ron go on to be heads of the Auror department, while Hermione is one of the Heads of the Magical Law Enforcement. Also, says it might be awhile before she starts the encyclopedia, says she will continue writing, but it most likely won't be the wizarding world ( ).

And yeah, the series could definitely continue by focusing on the new children.

I agree. The movie will definitely need an R rating to be captured accurately though.

I think Merlyn was close. As far as I would remember Rowling would have meant Lily. When you think of it we've even seen Harry's dad using magic (to tease Snape). But never Lily till this book. Only thing close would be the charm on Harry but that was something brought on by her death rather than wand-waving with an incantation.

Im rereading the Order of the Phoenix and if I can find Half blood prince im going to re-read that too. It's interesting going back and seeing all the little clues about everyone. Like Snape, how he talks about how only an awesome Occlumency trained wizard could fool Vold, and Snape just happens to be one of the best in Occlumency.
