Not the real book either. I haven't read any of the books so I asked Ivve about it and the last few chapters don't add up.

I finished reading it (boy i'm going to be dead at work tomorrow). I still ordered a copy and will probably read again when i get the book in my hands, I still love the feeling of the book in my hands while reading. Reading off a pdf from a computer screen isn't nearly as good. I'd say about 70% of my predictions came true, which was satisfying. I thought book 6 was the best before reading this one, but this may top it.

No spoilers from me, but I thought it was a good book (as far as pop fiction goes).

Draco disarmed Dumbledore and properly defeated him in the duel (albeit pretty lame but whatever), Snape merely killed Dumbledore afterwards.

It's probably the only things that bothered me aside from

not explaining what happened to everyone else after the defeat of Voldemort.
For example, is Teddy Lupin a werewolf? Did George keep the store going? Nocturn alley still around? I want to read about the rebuilding phase dammit.

She may save all that for Charity books Vade. I think she wanted closure for the main characters but not complete closure.
IMO the reason why the time gap between the end and the epilogue is so huge is because she wants plenty of space in case the future portends her to dabble a little bit with it for various reasons.

I found the last book somewhat lacking :\. Everything kidna felt rushed to fit in this deathly hallows crap that wasn't even such a big deal in the end. Another thing that bugged me to no end was why the fuck did voldy not hide hufflepuff's cup with enchantments like the rest of the horcruxes I wanted to read a bit more about that instead of the mindless running around and unceremonius sacrificing of characters with no closure to them . Overall I liked the fake book's version better(the one in that pdf file) minus less makeout scenes a bit more action or brain work maybe D:

One of my failed predictions for the last book was that Harry was going to become Hogwart's Defense against the Dark Arts Teacher. I thought it made total sense, the fact that there a new teacher in that position every year after voldemort; i thought harry would take that spot and bring the stability that was missing. Especially with the DA and all that.

One of my predictions that was almost 100% spot on was the deal with Snape. The only part I missed was that the curse Dumbledore had was going to be fatal. I thought that Dumbledore knew/told snape to do the unbreakable vow, and to not break it (meaning kill him) if it came to that, but it was not 'the plan' that snape kill him. That was why snape sighed before killing him: to me I interpretted it as that he didn't want to see dumbledore that night because to meet him would mean he would have to honor the vow. So that it was not the intention that snape would kill dumbledore, only a risk they knew about. So I was wrong about that part, although truthfully I was divided because to kill him intentionally would have put snape in a perfect position with regards to voldemort, which would have led to his shining moment in book 7 where he would actually attempt to kill voldemort. What actually happened, therefore, was a tad sad in that he died so unceremoniously. At least he got his redeeming moment with the penseive.
