Still doesn't change the fact that these books suck ;o

So since all of the spoilers were out before the book was does anyone know if there is a video similar to the "snape kills dumbledore...nooo you BITCH" video like the last release???
Nup - I've finished the book (picked it up at midnight and I read seriously fast) and I have to say I got one of the lesser deaths bang on even though I'd only said it jokingly over the last few days. Didn't see all of it coming - although the epilogue is more than slightly predictable.
Trying to keep this very general cos I know others are still reading the book.
I yelled Hedwig died at the midnight release lolz
I just finished it; good lord there were some depressing things, but I really liked how it wrapped everything up
The critic in me is doing a :/ at how everything was perfect but the fan in me is doing a :D
Was this supposed to be the last one? (I don't follow the books heh, I can barely get myself to watch through the insanely long movies..)
yessir
For anybody else who has read through it, what the fuck was with that wierd dessicated baby hanging out at the big empty King's Cross in the sky? Was it supposed to be a metaphor for Voldemort, because if so that was sort of a random ass place for it to be
I think so, not sure though.
BTW the mental image of an enraged Molly screaming YOU BITCH! was just hilarious.
yeah rofl, I thought that part was great; those whole last few chapters were awesome, except for when Fred died, that was sort of shocking.
that was the last remaining piece of his soul inside of harry that he sent on with him when he "killed" harryOriginally Posted by Jimmayus

Why are there so many fucking harry potter threads? lol..
neville is the best character in the entire series. non stop heroics
God that's a crap book cover compared to ours. And yup that's the legit last line.
Funny, I laughed at the UK's book cover. :/
I'm kind of sad its all done, but its better than the alternative: an endlessly dragged out series that spans decades and the characters become ageless. I really enjoyed them, and while they aren't high minded literature, they don't teach us about our past (and potential pitfalls for the future), nor teach us how to make money, they were good stories that were well written. Although the end leaves us wondering about a lot of the minor characters, it was still satisfying.
P.S. I am ACTUALLY talking about the books, not the Harry Potter mania that surrounds it and the overzealous fans. Sometimes I can't believe some people judge based on the hoopla surrounding it rather than what matters: the content itself.
The final book was pretty dissapointing ;\. There were like maybe 200-300 pages in that 700 page fluff that was really worth getting into. I love'd all the books up to this point, whether they were weak or not, they still held the spark that was in the books. This book, however, was really just a horrible way to end a great series.
What happened to everything? The whole prophecy, the horcruxes , the power which he knew not, etc. They all got snubbed out for the deathly hallows which when you think about it, didn't play as big a part in the book than it was really worth all the trouble of inventing. There were just so many things wrong with the final book I don't even know where to begin.
In fact to hell with the final book lol, i'm just going to take the fan book posted in the other thread as the final book. Least that was really well done and answered almost everything anyone who's been following the series could ask for.
