Weird thing, but that ripple effect? I saw it in Dynamis-San d'Oria the other day, while we were doing a few pulls before the boss. It was out in the big open area N of the AH, between the two tents. It was pretty far so I didn't see precisely where it was, and after that I was getting people killed by misreading a strategy I saw somewhere, so I didn't pay attention to it. I guess I'll look for it again.

The plot thickens.

I could have sworn that someone said that where those dots appear in Dynamis - Jeuno and Dynamis - San d'Oria were the exact (0, 0, 0) coordinates of the zones.

Well then, we should check all of the other Dynamises at their (0, 0, 0) coordinate and see if there's a dot there too, no?

And by "we" I mean "not me", since I'm on PS2 and couldn't tell you the coordinate I was at if my life depended on it.

Going from the shape of the zones, I am going to guess that the (0, 0, 0) point in Dynamis - Bastok is inside of the auction house and is either inside Heaven's Tower, or over the water directly south of it. (Far enough away that we can't see it.) I don't have the tools to see that sort of thing. (Nor would I use them if I did.)

i seem to remember a screenshot of someone finding a glowing orb in the ground at VoS. idk where it was, but it was the first place i heard that the glowing dot was the 0,0,0 coordinate of the zone. i'm curious if the color and behavior of it is related to the statues as the color and appearance resemble a statue eye.

it's said to be caused by animations being displayed at that point~ weapon skills and so on, easiest way to test is to use an effect like that while next to it.

I was mesmerised by this last Dynamis-Jeuno while pulling... but then the dead SMN NM corpse that kept getting up and resummoning Shiva became a little more exciting. Especially when the melee ran up and got free TP off it while waiting for weakness. Teehee!

When BLMs cast thunder4 or thundaga near that dot in jeuno, part of the thunder animation would appear on the dot too, like it was getting hit or just mimicking the animation or something else really weird
