Jp can really kiss my ass, I remember a time on my server when NA's were just coming into the end game scene. Japanese player's who camped kings then were so anti-NA even going as far as putting "English country leave" in their search com's and some mocking us in their bazaar comments with broken english. I have no respect for them since then, i could careless and laugh that in this day in age they still think they are better players. I remember some jp's hating NA so much on my server they would be disgusted seeing an NA in a dalm, ebody even going as far as telling us NA aren't worthy enough to own such gear.

Is there anyone here who does get offended by being checked? I'd really like an explanation as to why it is considered rude, or frowned upon by people. Being examined is a game command like so many others. As previous posts have stated it is in no way a personal violation (and I am amazed that someone would make such a strange comparison, I guess it shows how deeply some people get sucked into a virtual reality).

If people dislike being examined because their gear is sub-par, then I'm sorry, but if you are that insecure about being 'gimp', then invest some of your game time in farming, or camping etc.

Would be nice to see some more posts from the other side of the fence.

I've been in a JP party, and the chance of getting XP way outweighed any sort of embarassment I might feel over people HALF THE WORLD AWAY LAUGHING AT ME IN AN ONLINE GAME.

Oh, and I've noticed the "JP Only" thing more when I'm on less-desirable jobs I'd say. On BRD I get a fairly high amount of invites, both JP & NA. On RDM it's about the same as well. WHM I tend to just keep capped and not merit on too much, but the merit invites I get on WHM are primarily NA. BLM, well...we all know the state of BLM invites...lol

As a BRD, I've gotten a lot of invites from people who are "JP ONRY", and I have to say, they're as much of a mixed bag as your average pickup parties. I can't say any of them were particularly awesome, but they were more stable parties, meaning we didn't spend 20 minutes waiting around for replacements every time someone had to go to soccer practice. People generally stayed an hour or two, then the party would just disband when someone had to go. It's definitely a different atmosphere.

The hardcore racists are actually pretty rare (around here, at least), I've only met a few JPs on Lakshmi who say "English {Too weak}!" as a reply to an invite, or once they're in party. A lot of the "JP ONLY" people (surprise surprise) just don't want to deal with an English-speaking party, they'd rather be in your typical 3 mage, 3 melee JP party where they can chatter with people who speak their language.

Yup, this is the exact same experience I've had on my BRD on Midgard. Parties tend to be a bit more stable and are usually 3 mage 3 melee, other than that the playing skills are the same kind of spectrum as NA, from the excellent to the truly dreadful (or drunk).

I'd rather stay in a 2k/hr JP party than a 2k/hr NA party though because at least I don't have to subject my eyes to the tortuous conversations some of these people choose to engage in. I probably wouldn't be able to join JP PTs if I could read those squiggles and figure out that they're saying shit like "sup guys man my mom iz such a fag she grownded me but i sneakd out and m playing at my friends house brb gotta take a shit had tacos for lunch i fukin luv taco bell yo gorditas represent lol"

JP players here will flag for day without invite then join a full 5/6 NA PT. They will kick NA out of their party without asking and they even go futher extend of critic NAs playstyle.

i seek bilingual 100% of the time, on JP version. some of my JPs parties have been more racist lately than i've ever seen. @_@ and even with the super superirority complex, some of the parties i get lately are so bad i force dc on them, which i've never had a habit of doing before. -____- and they openly back NAs now more than ever.

get to camp and without asking expect me to use NIN SJ and tank on 50-something RDM? without saying anythign before and no /NIN in my comment... ugh. i'd rather just wait a few more hours for tank pop. -_-

first time in memory I've done it and I was so frustrated I just alt tabbed. having BRD to 75, I have grew no problem telling the party (See you again!) and using warp club, but these people were ridiculous and deserved to sit around confused for awhile.

setup was like... WHM COR RDM BLU DRG THF or something. I can only attribute morbid curiosity to what made me follow them out there. Sometime the WHM or something will change to the job you're missing and I assumed I just missed that dicussion. >< I guess it was just a 30-something PT, the PT I had on WHM is what really amazed me.

I wouldn't be so hostile, but yea. When a party sucks, I generally say, "Hey, this isn't working out, imma go." Usually everyone agrees anyways lol.

Agreed force d/c = lame = no balls.....

You hurt everyone by pretending to d/c cause you will generally waste 5-10 minutes of everyones time waiting for you before they get a replacement disband etc.

Thats strange, but the number of JP Onry comments I've seen in the last say, month are few enough that Im not sure if it was the same person or not.

As for racism, etc, well I never encountered it, and its just a handful of people that stand out as being really racist against NA, and from talking to a few JP friends about it, they're just dicks in general.
