That's why hearing the legal analysts compare this to the duke case make me laugh. People try to defend Vick by saying "Well, the Duke lacross team was assumed guilty, and look what happened there". That case had a D.A. trying to get reelected, pushing a case that was never had the same story more than once. Even the strippers had different stories of what went down. This isn't a D.A. handling this case, federal indictments aren't handed down due to mere suspicion. The indictment is incredibly detailed and thorough.

Randy Moss is an incredibly gifted athlete that excels at every aspect of his position. I don't know why anyone would say he couldn't win the superbowl (although I think N.E. is vastly overrated this year). The onus would never be on a player that has minimal effects on a game, at least a lot less effect than a QB. That's why I never understood the whole "Holy shit, T.O. is going to bring a trophy back to Dallas". Horseshit, not with Tony fucking Romo. Vick is a one trick pony with poor decision making that is responsible for coordinating an offense and running a team. That comparison just isn't fair. The Falcons are perfectly capable of winning superbowl if they fix that o-line and get a competent decision maker under center. Fuck, they play in the NFC, it's not hard to get there =/

To say that Michael Vick is a one trick pony is kind of harsh. Jim Mora Jr. deserves the idiot of the century award for running a west coast offense with Michael fucking Vick. 3-step drops with a QB who can create as much time as he needs to find the open man? You can't use an outdated offense just because it worked 10-15 years ago. Steve Young =| Vick. No player plays QB like Vick, and it's retarded to use an offense like that with him. If Vick was on a team that actually utilized his skillset, and put a decent line in front of him(and you said yourself that their line is crap too), he'd be one of the most dangerous players of our time. Tank Johnson had a fuck ton of guns in a house with kids, he was convicted. Kobe Bryant was probably your best example, but someone so naive to think that the girl didn't give consent was delusional anyway. I'd go as far as to say more people placed guilt on the white duke kids raping the black strippers than the kobe case. As far as the previous post, Vick wouldn't be successful in any type of offense with his decision making. Tom Brady, Peyton Manning, Steve Young, Joe Montana etc etc...they aren't athletic, yet they are great great great decision makers. Something Vick couldnt even fathom. He's now got one of the best QB coaches there is in the game. Hands down the best QB coach when he was in college, but I'm a bit biased beings I attended UofL. He'll be given a shot (assuming he isn't in prison) and he will still fail. When/if that happens, I'm sure Arthur Blank will realize that it's not the coaches since he's been through a few of them, and dump Vick.

You're right that Vick is a bad decision maker. He's the 2nd worst in the league in completion percentage. The only reason why i'm making an argument is because he never really had anyone around him to catch the ball. Never had a line, and was part of a assbackwards offense. He has one of the best arms out there, and I think if provided the right circumstances, he'd be great. Hell, as a Giants fan, i'd take him over Eli Manning any day of the week lol.

With a good enough offensive line, any QB is going to be amazing. If I was in charge of a team I wouldn't spend a lot of money on the QB and use the extra money to buy control of the field.

You could probably count the average/bad QBs that have won superbowls because of great defense/line play on one hand..Id say of the past 15 SB winners, maybe 2 or 3 of the QBs are average or less. There are several great QBs that win superbowls despite shitty defense/o-line. Hell, the Raiders have an amazing defense than can completely control the game, but they were horrid.

1.) The media will blame the first scapegoat they can that makes the story more appealing to joe somebody. And they'll press that issue down your throat until it is proved faulty and then they'll press the other less then "factual" evidence until that is disproved. Eventually they'll just drop the story all together.

Chris Benoit is a perfect example of this. His toxicology showed no signs of steroids so no one gives a fuck about the story anymore.

You do realize it was reported as such within 8 hours of the bodies being found right?

I heard initially about there deaths around noon or so and by the time RAW came on over here (the West Coast) it was already out that it was being investigated as a Murder/Suicide.
