    I concur with this statement
Yeah, pretty much. Also, rock salts. At least I'm making the big moneh.
Agreed. Mine also spams bst and drg drops in dynamis everyone is like 5/5.
You say that like it's a bad thing. Do you remember when your BST didn't have INT+6 and your wyvern didn't take physical damage -5%?!

Wasn't serious at all about the lucky egg or leaf but the having to have hate thing surprised me. Would just being in aggro range from dynamis mobs popping be enough or should I just have the thfs shoot a statue with ranged? None of the thfs have experience in pulling dynamis and I'm not really interested in having 2-3 thfs get carried away and semistomp the blms.

Along these same lines, I'm going to assume that TH doesn't work if the puller is dead. Seems like it should be obvious, but we still us death pulls on the xarcabard NMs and nothing ever drops (damn you berith).

    Yeah, I know.

Appearently they don't have a 4th floor in hospitals in Japan because of Shi... although I don't get why they don't just call it the Yon floor.

Tell that to the bosses in Nyzul Isle. Floor 80 farming last night and we had to rejig the jobs in the party at the last minute, so sadly no THF or /THF. We did 3 runs, went 3/3, killed Cerb, Khimaira and Hydra, and got nothing to show for it. Robbed, lol. >.<

So far we are 1/8 on that floor (Denali).

    Re: Treasure Hunter questions

Prolly placebo, but I when I farmed the south side of Al'Taieu solo on NIN/WAR I got virtually nothing, but when we came back with TH3 we killed 15 or so mobs and got about 10 drops. I place my beliefs in it increasing the number of drops from a particular mob, but of course I have no data lol.

    4. Does it matter if the thf is in the party who gets the kill shot?
    5. Does it matter if the thf is in the alliance who gets the kill shot? (Multiple alliances in dynamis)
    1) No, this was definitely dispelled by a SE interview at some point, who gets last hit is totally irrelevent.

    2) In my experience from my year and a quarter or so of leading Dynamis, yes. Matters a hell of a lot. Whenever we have a THF pull in Dynamis our 100 Piece drop rate goes way up as opposed to having a NIN or someone else do it. The THF has to have hate to the mob in question in order for the TH to apply, just having them in the party will not do it.

    3) I see no reason to believe this would be the case. Though being out of hate range might have an effect.

    4) Possibly. A lot of people have observed better drop rates when the THF is in the BLM party in Dynamis, but I honestly think that it's just placebo because a THF In the BLM party is more likely to tag the statues with TH than one who is elsewhere. My personal opinion: No.

    5) I'm not sure if it matters one way or another, but if I were you I'd put a THF in every alliance in Dynamis if you possibly can just to be safe, I mean, why not. 18 slots, it might be supersticious, but it's a nice precaution incase it is true.
I concur. My Dynamis shell has just recently begun having our THF's tag stats with a ranged attack whenever possible, just to get on the statues' hate lists (we have PLD's doing the pulling). It may be placebo, but In our last BCD, we had 3 100's drop, and in our last Xarc, we had a record 638 currencies drop (3 Montiont Silverpieces and a 100 Byne from Eyes, a Montiont Silverpiece from DL, and 138 individuals).

Since TH is such a mystery to begin with, I see no reason not to continue doing this; I'd like to hear what other shells' results are.

I think I summed up every time anything has ever dropped.
If the mob does drop, and you don't have a thf.

I'd say at least let them ranged every statue, only takes a second or two and it can't really hurt: it's not like the statues would be asleep and the THF would wind up MPKing blms.

    Re: Treasure Hunter questions

I'll repeat what I say for nearly every thread that talks about Treasure Hunter in the hopes that someone from Square finally listens. (Yeah, I know you're reading this.)

It would be nice if items that drop with the influence of Treasure Hunter had something extra in their drop comment, like resist messages. Like so:

Treasure Hunter! (THF name) finds a Ram Horn on the Cranky Ram.

This way if Treasure Hunter isn't a placebo effect, we can see it in action.

I agree with the above. That way I can properly blame the thieves in my LS.

Especially when they "find" useful things like Warrior AF2.

Sending that as a suggestion to SE right now. Hopefully others do as well. Pretty sure I sent something similar 2 years ago, but can't hurt to try again.

Same reason we opt to leave out the entire floor instead of calling it the 12+1 floor.

    Re: Treasure Hunter questions

TH does nothing in any situation anything excet limbus. In which case it makes more coins drop from mobs. That is seriously the only thing I notice. My TH sucks major wang and whenever I come WAR instead of THF we get better drops.
