Even at 75 with a lot of homam, meat on blu sucks for a lot of things. For one, attack never does anything for magic, but accuracy does, so your spell damage will take a hit. The more accuracy gear you need to wear during spell, the weaker it will be as well, especially if you need to drop AF body for SH/homam. I only find meat on blu to be effective when you are fighting very low evasion mob to begin with (like 90-95%acc without food) or you have madrigal.Originally Posted by draxyl
I think I just got whooshed. Homam body alone is 15 acc, feet + hands is another 10.Originally Posted by VZX

I guess meat still sucks on blu, from what the above poster listed. I really have zero clue, I'm just interested in any melee building for meat![]()
I didn't mean to say meat 'sucks' for blu, it's just more situational than it is for other melee jobs, since attack only affects a portion of your damage, while accuracy affects all of it.
yeah, my fault not using the correct wordOriginally Posted by draxyl

right now it's scorpion harness + dusk gloves + magus charuqs (lol)
support from merit + gear is what I'm trying to get. 84% is the hit rate I got from full sword merit + 42~43 acc from gear and 10 from JTEven at 75 with a lot of homam, meat on blu sucks for a lot of things. Meat build is getting infeasible while you're in mamool ja stagging point. I scored 67.5% hit rate on north camp (lol)
Though I haven't tested it with very tight bound, I noticed that 1 blue magic skill gives more "attack" than 1 attack. probably 1.5~2.0 "attack"Since attack only affects a portion of your damage, while accuracy affects all of it.
Blame perdu hanger for me derailing the thread >.>
I'm Thinking very hard about Going over to Perdu Hanger/Joyeuse...
With all the jobs I have those 8/8 Axe merits are in a Slot that I could be Helping another jobs... Burning 16 merits on my Weapons for War is A Lot... Granted I have 8/8 Sword merits long before I Started playing War.
Your going to loose out on 1/2 a Hit with Rampage, a bit of Weapon Skill in the gap from Sword to Axe, but you gain a High DpS Weapon, and I can Spend those 8 merits on another Job...
Sword skill is higher than axe with full merits, suppa and fort torque, assuming no axe merits. With the full setup, a WAR would have 278 sword skill, 269 axe skill (no merits). I don't really think theres any room to talk about +Axe Skill gear in a setup, since you wouldn't really wear the Temp. Torque with ridill offhand, and the beastly earring is a waste.Originally Posted by Delekii
Its not a matter of weapon combat skill, but WS damage and how fast you tp, and to that I have no real preference. Rampage will be stronger than Vorpal, while Ridill/joy (perdu/ridill too) will tp faster/attack more. I think its fairly situational as to whats more useful.
For Colibri, I like ridill/joy, since joy will hit harder on the birds, and getting in the most attack rounds/tp fast is more important to me, since the birds will steal your tp quite often. Rampage loses its appeal if you never get to use it half the time.
