The equivalent to removing darters is going 45 miles an hour in a 40 MPH zone. Is it technically against the law? Sure. Does anyone give a shit? No. You should be focused on the people who are driving drunk (the equivelent of botting in terms of severity of the law-breaking in question) instead of petty shit like people going 5 MPH over the speed limit. Do you chase down every guy who goes over the speed limit because they're driving faster than you? Didn't think so.

I knew a dude just like you on PSO years ago named ADE. Head up his ass when it came to people cheating and all the bitching in the world did nothing but he still bitched.

After 6 years of him playing it he finally quit and joined a private server on PSO and never came back since he was living in his own Cheat Free world. FFXI doesn't have that option for players yet but until then just fucking suck it up and kill the flys.

Oh and btw I've been playing since Dec '03 on Beta and I do not and have never used any 3rd party software and yes that inculdes Windower.

As far as the 7th grade thing goes you might want to go back yourself. At least to 1985 where you could "cheat" on a game like Super Mario Bros by doing the 1-Up trick with the Turtle on the steps. Thinking that removing dats is cheating is so 2004 it's not even funny. If by some chance you don't bot, you remove files. It's a stretch to even consider it a "cheat" since the game still functions and you don't even use 3rd party programs to do it. Spinning+spamming with files removed is about as legit as it gets these days.

Nice logic I see here. If you do something that is wrong long enough, it will become acceptable. Interesting... How is that cognitive dissonance working out for you over there buddy? Here is an idea, why don't you go back to Diablo!? Your kind are actually welcomed in that game.

While I would love it for all the cheaters to just leave the game, it isn't going to happen. My main point was that people somehow don't think this is cheating. It is! Completely redefining cheating for some things is a slippery slope to cheat using other more serious things. Just read the boards here and try to count how many people justify bot claiming. You will get tired before you are done tallying it up.

Unfortunately on Gilgamesh the group in sea is still doing their stuff. "Fun" when u manaburn Ix'DRK at the main elevator when one of them pops up and u can't use the elevator anymore. Takes so much longer if u can't just keep nuking all your MP using the elevator to reset hate. Whenever I see those names in /sea I won't even bother doing Ix'DRG, no point if they can just come up there and grab it whenever they please.

Hell Sonoma my GF gets on my case about me never touching my dats but I just prefer not to fuck with SE's shit on my PC. I could care less if anyone else does it seeing as it's not my system nor my concern since it doesn't hurt anyone or change the gameplay in anyway whatsoever.
