You can never have enough MGS4 threads. 8)
NEVER!
You realize that "guy playing" was Hideo Kojima, the creator of the game right?Originally Posted by Akiyama

Awesome looking game. Will probably be the reason I buy a PS3 besides FFXIII and Versus XIII.
He makes the combat look so effortless. Especially when he gets fired on from behind and performs some truly epic evasive maneuvers. If movement and combat are really that smooth in the final game I'd have to name it the best game ever made, replacing MGS3.![]()
The guy playing (as in holding the controller) is not Hideo.Originally Posted by Alexel

You gotta love it when the creator knows how to play his own game. If the game plays exactly like that, i'm fucking buying a ps3
edit: nvms tajin ruined it D:<
For MGS2 Hideo did a lot of beta testing locked in some meeting room in Konami. I remember reading (or was it a video) of how he was testing each sound and shit. He knows his MGS shit like no one else :D.
But what better wayt to look impressive, than talk about the game, while some dude controls it and you can talk 8).
Going to be hard getting use to "Old Snake" though. Still the game looks unbeleviably fluid.
Hideo was the one talking though right? He was talking as if he was the one controlling it, oh well.
In the E3 2007 trailer, at the halfway point where Snake is struggling to stay on his feet as he tries to aim his gun at Ocelot is just really, really pimp.Originally Posted by Koyuki
He may look old, but watching the gameplay trailer, he sure the fk doesn't move like it. Game looks fking amazing. Graphics seem top notch, gameplay looks so fluid, story looks promising, and its nice to see it taking place on a battlefield, where Snake isn't the main attraction but more of a sideshow.
And yeah, Hideo was the one talking, but not playing.

Also, Metal Gear MKII owned. >.>; PS3 Controlling Snake ftw.
They probably practised the demo a few times... which is a good thing. Better than fumbling with words, he actually was pretty funny.Originally Posted by Tajin
And no glitches unlike Assassin's Creed (Jade Raymond and her uneasy giggle is so cute though).
Well that is a given, i dont think Kojima likes to fuck around with that kind of stuff in a 20th anniversary party.Originally Posted by Rainbowsax

It makes sense to practice a game you plan on showing off. Especially one as famous and high anticipated as MGS4. Admittedly playing the game well made it look even more appealing. It was highly anticipated before, but people only did so on good faith that it would deliver. Now we KNOW, and this game as gone from "I can wait" to "I WANT THIS GAME NOW!"

Ive hated all the past MGS', but this ones looking pretty good.
But whats up with using the menu for everything? Thats a reall turnoff, I hope you can use buttons instead.
Maybe I wasn't paying attention but the only time I saw him use the menu was to remove the camo completely and go back to the original sneaking suit? By pressing the triangle button he was able to change his camo to whatever he was against, and all of the weapons are accessible through the normal R2/L2 or w/e pop-up menu.Originally Posted by SephirothYuyX

The demo looked scripted, but I really hope its more of a free-flowing warzone in the end. And yeah, him using the RPG to kill a single soldier on the roof was funny, as was whipping out the rocket-launcher to take care of the tank.
I haven't gone looking for spoilers about the story, but from what I saw it looks pretty good. And the gameplay looks top notch, as do the graphics.
