I can't really see any reason to use it over the other available swords that you named, personally. There might be a situation or two where it might be useful, but on the whole, I wouldn't rush out to get one.
Potent or Warwolf for guillo?
I use Potent because I feel exchanging 2STR for ~4-5acc is a bad compromise. (exchange an acc ring and you get 5str! For instance), however it does depend on your overall build. Think of the ways to get the most efficient tradeoffs in Guillotine and multihit WSs as a whole.
Life/Potent for Guilly.
It's like a 25% Str mod, missing a single hit hurts more than adding 2~5 Str to the other hits could possibly help.
As for the zanshin/da thing. The Nin/Thf underskilled fast blade tests are quite conclusive.
He had no Zanshin or DA, first hit showed weirdly high acc, gorget gave acc to all hits.

askar hands or war relic+1? (do not want to buy dusk+1)
Askar for meriting I'd say, maybe Relic +1 vs Gods, or HNMs.
Askar, Dex +5 gives 3~4 Acc, helps your crit rate to an unknown extent, and all the cool kids TP in 10+ Enmity.
I admit that I'll be hard pressed to not sell my Dusk when I get Askar, just as an excuse to hold out for Dusk +1.
Neither, get Askar/Homam. Valor+1 for now.

Fulltime Haste+ Enmity > Enmity + Shield ~ Haste + Hp > Enmity + Vit + Hp > Shield > Enmity > Vit ~ Hp, as I understand it.
Same sort of lineup as acc/att/str/dex for meleeing.

That being said, Valor +1 would work for both situations, while the lack of enmity is going to hurt more for /NIN.
None of this should really matter though if you have a good Cure III and Cure IV hate macro on PLD.

Six one half a dozen the other? I mean, both are great, and will just depend on random chance of the bosses. I would think though, that DRK/DRG would be a little less useful getting to the boss that WAR/NIN or even WAR/SAM. It also depends on if you are having trouble killing the boss or if you are having trouble leaving time for the boss.
