Well kitty pants itself should bump ur acc up 7-8, also, I'd recommend upgrading to 8/8 h2h merits, not much other way to eat meat comfortably. Need to upgrade your rings until you get that toreador's. Go for ToAU ring if possible or if not get 2 woodsman. As for dune vs fuma, this topic has been beaten to death and not every mnk is going to agree on it, but I'd say dunes for shorter meripo fights and fuma for something long, like tanking a chariot. May want to look into diabolos earring or minuet earring (for when u have minuet on) while focus is down and use the merman's while focus is up
Once your Byakko's come back from the tailor, I'd wear fumas when you're getting 2 outside sources of haste (RDM haste and at least 1 March), and when casting utsusemi. Dunes all other times should easily out-perform.
As for Accuracy, besides 8/8 merits and Usukane gear, the only real places to pick up more accuracy are on your Hands (Noritsune Kote), Ear (Hollow, Diabolos, or situationally Minuet Earring), and then of course your Rings, where you're at 8acc combined, but you already mentioned Toreador's Ring of course. Also Byakko's will be a 7 or 8 acc increase in your legs. Finally, Black Tathlum is another acc increase, but extremely costly compared to Tiphia.
If you can swing it, go salvaging and pick up at *least* Usukane Sune-Ate. Far and away the best MNK feet.
It's kinda crazy to think that dune boots will out damage 3% haste, especially if it allows me to hit the haste cap, but I guess I'll take your guys' word onit.
I'm planning on the 8/8 merits, slowly but surely. I hate woodsman/snipers because of the -eva/def, looking to get blood/toreadors/ulthalam's soon I hope.
For my Asuran build, how does this look?
o.hate
flame gorget
merman
merman
shura
okote
jaeger
ecphoria
forager's
life belt
pahluwan pants
denali feet
anything I'm missing? potential upgrades?
shura head vs. ohat vs. that new znm hachimaki (acc+8, atk+8)?
My WS usually hit for the full 8 hits, it's my TP gear I'm worried about.
Thanks for the replies.
"I hate woodsman/snipers because of the -eva/def"
They're still better than what you have for now. And as long as you're not solo'ing in them, it won't make much if a difference anyways. Merit mobs aren't going to be missing you either way, and if you have counterstance up (like you should) ur defense is going to blow anyways. I'm 1/54 on toreador's ENM so I wouldn't be counting on it all too soon.
hachimaki for asuran, hands down.
The rest look fine for now. Just get some shura pants when u can, and denali work great. Best u can have until you pick up a pair of usu shoes. The rest looks fine too.
In situations where acc is theoretically capped:
Denali bonnet + homam body or Rapparee harness + walmart turban
I'm leaning more towards the 9% haste over 1% TA, 4% haste, 15acc, 3att, 3eva
If you are capped on Acc, then you remove the accuracy from that equation. Also for haste you have to consider your total haste and not just what you get from the items in question, because adding 9% has different effects depending on your total haste. And Eva probably shouldn't be included because this is basically a damage question.
Under the conditions you describe your equation should look like this:
X% + 9% haste vs. X% + 4% haste, 3 att, 1% TA.
I assume for capped accuracy you are using sushi?
It should be more like Turban + homam vs Raparee + turban
3 attack isn't going to outdo 1 haste unless you have 0 other haste gear, and no marches, no haste spell, and even w/o those, the 1 haste will prolly come on top.
If you're at capped accuracy on THF, you use Rapparee Harness (basically only time it beats Homam Corazza is when acc is very high~capped). Though you should be aiming to eat meat; Rapparee Harness is just a toy.
I thought this has already been mythbusted by Reelena? Unless I've misunderstood what she wrote... releenaseraph: If the rules of the world we're living in change, are we still living in the same world?
Anyways, Dragon Subligar Vs Dusk Trousers for unstacked DE?
Here's what I currently use for unstacked DE:
input /equip head "Optical Hat";
input /equip ear1 "Brutal Earring";
input /equip body "Hecatomb Harness";
input /equip neck "Soil Gorget";
input /equip hands "Hecatomb Mittens";
input /equip ring1 "Rajas Ring";
input /equip legs "Dusk Trousers";
input /equip ring2 "Sniper's Ring";
input /equip feet "Denali Gamashes";
input /equip back "Forager's Mantle";
input /equip waist "Potent Belt";
input /equip ear2 "Minuet Earring";
I use Dusk Trousers, multihits love atk.
As for the heca gear, slow doesn't work in the same way as haste I'm pretty sure, and it only negates those benefits IF you attack after your SA/TA, which doesn't always happen. Especially against high defence stuff, the extra damage from SA and TA is VERY useful. Use haste or not slow over hecatomb where you can, but don't give up too much offense for it.
BLM45 atm.
Apparently I fail at soloing because I was dying for more exp loss than I was making on my first attempt last night... So has anything changed to BLM leveling since level sync came out or am I doomed to solo my way to 75?
What would be the faster option, only seeking for PT or soloing?
Soloing while lfg.
All else equal. For a DRG
Currently using: (95% ACC)
W. Turban
Homam Corazza
Dusk Gloves
Looking to obtain:
Askar Zucchetto
Askar body
Homam Hands
Versus:
Askar Zucchetto
Aurum Cuirass
Homam Hands
Reason: With Love Torque, I'm 1 Store TP short of 6 hit with Drakesbane. May get V Fork, but I'm skeptical of Odin EVER dropping it.
You generally have the Acc as a DRG to get away with using Askar body for TP, I would use that and WS in Aurum if you have both, or WS in Hecatomb otherwise.
Don't give up yet. Are you subbing NIN? It takes a lil while to get used to it... I'm guessing you've just moved from Castle Zvahl? I can't remember but I seem to think that beastmen pets in the tunnel near the cloister of gales in Cape Terrigan were a great camp...
You do have days where you mess up a lot, but others you sail through xp like no tomorrow. Another option is to team up with a RDM or BLM buddy and duo. SCH also works. You need to get the hang of soloing if you're going to level BLM. If nothing else, you need to learn to fend for yourself in dynamis!
Realisticaly, you'll get the odd invite 40-60 but after that it will pretty much dry up. I soloed 90% or more of my xp 40-70. From 68-69 you'll start to get into Manaburn parties and life becomes easier again.
With +31sTP (Aurum Body is good here) on DRG, you can use Swordstrap for faster attacks I believe.
