What about for sam 1 hitters? 5 str and 6ish atk cant outdo the .1 from gorget?

Old post from this section came up with Gorget being equal to +15 STR for neck slot (talking about SAM)... which makes it far and away the best option.

Also for THF, assuming stacked, I always liked Gorget for DE for the initial hit boost and acc on all hits (ib4 "prove it" que Max)... for SB, Torque for the serious double dip on DEX for SA and SB mods... Evis is the tougher of the calls... dex mod vs acc (torque vs gorget)... eh what am I even discussing Evis for, just used whatever, it will still make you mad either way.

Love Torque gives 9-10 acc if you have capped dagger merits, so acc isn't really a reason to go with Gorget.

I haven't bothered carrying a gorget for thief since I got my torque. And since getting my X's knife, I generally just use evisceration. Better highs than DE, just as consistent, and I see a lot of mirrored darkness skillchains.

Well Im pretty sure I remember some testing on KI awhile back where Evis just cant hit the numbers DE does, even using X's Knife. Now that isnt to say it doesnt have its place, just that as pure dmg, it doesnt equal DE... also, it seems you are limiting youself by not looking into gorgets more considering the information that is repeated here alot. Sure for Evis, it might be better using a torque, but I have never liked the idea of abandoning DE, and a gorget should be better for DE.

Also about the acc thing... I am likely wrong, but I was under the impression the 7 dagger skill was not on par with a straight 10acc/hit... maybe someone can comment on how much acc you get for the skill... isnt it like .9 per skill level or something like that? I might be wrong there...

It is .9/skill after 200, but the 5 dex adds 2 acc also.

I was assuming THF was A+ in dagger, but apparently it's only A-, so the 7 skill will only give 6 acc with merits. But then you get another 2-3 acc from the DEX, for a total of 8-9 acc from Love Torque.

Soil Gorget or Seismix Axe do not work for Raging Rush, but I guess it might be better for KJ.

Seismic is the general purpose winner for KJ.

Perdu will win on a 5 hit 2hr max epeen shot.

Seismic wins on 3 hit/4 hit, it does stack with Soil.

Seismic + Soil is like 20 Acc +0.2 fTP, Perdu + Soil is 15 Acc 10 Att +0.1 fTP +4 Dmg.

Sentinel Shield Def 10 Str +3 Haste +1%
Royal Knight's Shield Def 14 Str +2 Mnd +1

I checked, and going 4% > 5% Haste knocks 1 second off flash, so is 4 Def on a shield the same size worth giving up to spam flash a TINY bit faster, assuming I'm not marched/hasted dutifully all the time?

str+4 dex+9 haste+6 vs haste+8 atk+5

Standard GA build, dex+ from the first set puts tp dex at 118/119 depending on /sam or /nin.

Do you mean askar hands? If so, askar head/hands when acc isn't capped is the way to go.

4dex(2acc) 4str(2atk) 5acc and 2str 15atk

For 2handers I think I'd still use ame+1 but I wasn't so sure about other jobs, keep in mind the jobs listed don't all have the best combat skill.

this ^, I use cuch even on drg unless I am getting an acc buff, only using on sam atm if evasive mob, or polearm atm though need to parse my acc again at merit camps.

polearm will probably do slightly better but soboro does nicely as well, but if on lesser with yuki, soboro will greatly do better.
