Actually, it makes me think. Unless I'm using my logic incorrectly, in the same amount of time hades+1 will crit 100 times, destroyers will crit 106 times on average. Hades+1 will have a 4.5% higher hitrate when your acc isn't capped. Lets say your acc with destroyers is 85% and your acc with hades+1 is 89.5%
100 crits (89.5% acc) = 89.5 crits on average
106 crits (85% acc) = 90.1 crits on average

About 1/2 crit of difference. Hades+1 having 1 more delay and 1 more base dmg not sure how that is going to get tossed in there, but also more landed hits total and only being half a crit behind on average. Only thing I could see hurting hades+1 here is if when focus is up, you're overshooting acc and would be capped with both.

take off acc gear for other gear during focus if you're overshooting, hades+1 > destroyers

assuming a reasonably low 1.2 pdif, a critical is +5/6 damage, making +6% crits equal to +5% damage dealt during tp phase, nothing during WS if you go by the general consensus of 'weaponskills can only crit if you use sneak attack or they have a crit mod'

9 accuracy = 4.5% hitrate = (4.5/acc before them)% more damage dealt during tp phase, (4.5/acc before them)% more weaponskills, and extra opportunity for attack gear on WS.. the defensive stats and extra base damage point are icing(and the base damage point will always add more to your damage than the 1 delay hurts it)

In the worst reasonable scenario for the sainti(you get the accuracy exact and go from 90.5 to 95%), you need above 1.2 avg pdif to make them beat destroyers.. this would mean 484 attack on lv81 colibri, 507 on lv82. Using your gear for an example, assuming full h2h merits, hume, no STR merits(just a guess, can correct me), meat mithkabob(no excuse to not at least use these, even on birds), and one minuet only you would have 518 attack. If you change it to mamool and still are only going from 90.5% to 95% acc, you need roughly 560 attack on the highest level ones for sainti+1 to overtake destroyers.. still easily met in a double minuet or chaos+drk scenario while using pizza. This section is only comparing the accuracy to the critical hit rate and assuming no dia, if you place value on the defensive stats or factor in the DMG+1 Delay+1 or have dia cast then sainti get ahead at even lower attack values.

If you're overshooting acc with focus, there are a lot of options for gear changes, start off with somen->turban, then usu gote->bando kotes.. destroyers probably win in city dynamis and other low level things where hitrate isn't an issue at all, but I can't see them as ideal for 2 brd or brd+cor meritting or anything tougher.

hauby if you are not capped at accuracy in WS gear, harness if you are capped at accuracy and buffed to the gills. easy enough to do at birds w/ brd + cor or brd + brd, or just screwing around, not so easy at mams.

From what I understand I should use Scholar's Mortarboard and Argute Gown to charge, and change to Ixion once the charge is full? I don't have the gown yet, but I do want to field some opinions before dropping a pretty penny on the cloak.

NQ Haub vs Hecatomb Harness depends largely on your build; it's quite a lot of STR gain (slight Attack loss) for a ~3 accuracy difference so depending on your overall build (since multihits aren't as simple as "Stack on as much of one stat as possible") it can be very good; I personally used one for ages. Against HQ Haubergeon though, it's a fairly significant accuracy loss for just 6str and the loss of Attack, so I'd centre your build around Haubergeon+1 in that case.

In terms of sublimation, once you get the relic body (I have it) it becomes increasingly hard to justify Ixion. I was considering buying one (sold a vermy) and then got the argute gown. The sublimation effect is so useful you'd literally be using Ixion for the 30s period that sub isn't available IMO. I'm much, much more careful about sublimation now I have the gown.

If you can cram in loads of int elsewhere I'd be tempted by relic hat + af body for the skill for resistant stuff cos +22 skill is a lot. Otherwise I'd possibly stick to AF hat (ideally +1) and Body. Other peeps will prolly chime in with more experience of nuking harder crap on SCH though.

This was my exact concern. But I think I'm still third on the list for Argute Gown (guaranteed second for one more Beaucedine). At least I still have my yigit set to fall back on for refresh.

I'll just keep whiteboxing what I need to (elite +1, auster's, prism cape) and try to find a Limbus shell in the meantime.

Skadi and Homam will be better than Raparree if your acc isn't capped, and it really won't be on anything that matters.

I'd personally use Skadi over homam, 1 less acc but 8DEX for TP.

Nynja did some testing a long time go on Alla with Homam vs. Skadi and I believe found that Skadi really didn't offer anything better than Homam, they were just equals. It's been awhile since I read it, but I think the slit increase in DEX didn't offer enough to make up in crits what Homam offered in Triple Attack so at that point it was just a whichever you liked better situation.
