This exact question is why the newbie forum rules are in place. :DOriginally Posted by Plight
Along those lines, if you have Nashira manteel, use it instead.Originally Posted by Plight
I know it's not what you're asking, but I would recommend Scorpion Harness since both WSs are multihits and therefore accuracy > all in terms of average weaponskill damage potential, generally speaking.Originally Posted by travOtaku
However, out of those two, I would pick Assault Jerkin in both scenarios (unless of course your attack was capped)!
I use a Glamor Jupon for Dark Magic, because I just can't bring myself to buy a Chasuble.Originally Posted by Indalecia

Not that I'm an expert, but I'd pick Scout's Belt personally.
I have a Scorpion Harness which I use in my TP setup, but I have found that if I use the EVA- step coupled with Building Flourish that I can afford to macro out the SH and still land all 6 hits reliably. My DE macro is set up so that I just have to switch my bazaar around and it modifies what gear I'm wearing/will be wearing.Originally Posted by Raen Ryong
I was just curious in terms of maximizing my damage (say, against DCs/EMs or whatever where ACC really wouldn't be an issue, especially with BF) which would be best.
What would capped ATK be for a level 71? (I assume you don't mean 999 >_>; ) Right now, with food, I am sitting at around 420 ATK, with my AJ+WS gear equipped.
Pretty sure 17 attack will benefit you more than 4 str, 3 dex
And I thought I was the only one.Originally Posted by Obev

The rngs in my ls kept on testing ratk vs str alot and they discovered that if they had a brd for minuets thier ratk was capped quite easily and quickly and they couldn't exceed X damage unless they added more str instead during tp or ws. (all of them were eating meat and had the "standard" rng gear)Originally Posted by Funkworkz
Because of this they always say that if you don't have a brd use ratk and if you do have a brd use str.
they also like to use /war so since i dont have all thier data locked away thanks to me not having rng leveled the zerk might be what caps thier ratk fast.
BRD hat question - searched around, found various answers.![]()
I have Demon Helm +1 laying around from BLM, and I also have Opo-opo crown. Since I just dinged 65, I'm wearing the crown.
When it becomes available, should I switch from crown to helm?
Basically, which is better for buffs/debuffs? I'm assuming Helm+1 for buffs, but I can't decide for debuffs...
Also, I know that Relic hat > Helm+1, but I don't have it yet. If it drops on Wednesdays dyna it'll be freelot, so I'll hopefully get. Until then, which is best? Thanks in advance.![]()

So at 75 it won't, but what about 73 when I can first wear it? =o
Tier caps go in 10s...? <.< If so, then I can just do the calculations...
probably not. skill+ only helps 3-4 levels after you get minuet III and IV. and with the other + skill items avaliable at 73 (musical earring, wind torque, etc) it will offset the level differenceOriginally Posted by Aella
at lvl75 with cornette +1 or gjallarhorn, IV caps at 61, and III is 53. with x5 minuet merits, its 66 and 58 respectfully
Cool, thanks.
Attack capping is entirely dependent on the mob in question. If you have a monster of equal level, using melee attack, capped attack is 2x its defence. However, for every level the monster is above you, you need more attack to cap.Originally Posted by travOtaku
In terms of formula, this looks like;
Melee cRATIO = (Your Attack / Opponent's Defence) - (0.05 * dLVL), where dLVL is the number of levels the monster is above you.
EDIT: cRATIO caps at 2, which is why you can see if dLVL is 0, then your capped cRATIO of 2 will be 2x the mob's defence.
Also, the lower level the enemy you're fighting is, the less beneficial adding attack will be. 420 Attack with food pretty safely means that adding the 17 attack will have a big impact assuming you are fighting mobs with good defence. Basically, the less the defence of the opponent, the better your Cotehardie's damage will be comparatively, but unless you are capped, the AJ build will likely do more damage in most situations.
Yeah, I actually meant dark based spells moreso: Drain/aspir/stun.. of course since those are dark skill based, the chasuble wins w/magic acc.. I just don't remember the equation of magic acc:skill. If its 3skill = 1 magic acc, then I can see the chasuble +1 winning out on some things.Originally Posted by Plight
Excuse my apparent lack of foresight before asking the question, geez. Its why I put it in this forum under this topic.
This is kinda late being my WAR is 72 and I'm only 1 level off from Nhands, but....
Spiked Finger Gauntlets vs. Taru RSE2 Hands for Rampage/RR/Vorpal?
Also, opinions on Dusk Feet ( NQ) vs. Unicorn Leggings.
The last estimates I saw were that skill:m.acc was still 1:1Originally Posted by Apessius
