C-mantle vs Forager / Amemet / (attack mantles) for TP build.
C-mantle win *assuming* that 7 / 8 acc is all used towards hitting 95% cap?
- Iota Ring VS Thunder Ring for DE with SA, with TA and with SATA.
- I understand that iota would be better than blood ring for non-2h-wielders if your dex is odd ?
- Omega Ring vs Nereid ring for bard debuff ?
Btw, from wiki "WSC = floor (floor((A x A%) + (B x B%)) x α)", so does main and second modifier of WSs affect equal ? it doesn't really matter which you boost ?
Would then Delta Earring be better than Pixie Earring for DE ?
Lots of questions ^^ thanks in advance !
I'd take the Omega Ring (+3 m.acc +3CHR) over just +3skill, which is basically what the +3m.acc does.
Each stat affects WSC based on its % modifier, as you said. So if both A% and B% are the same then A+1 = B+1 in effect on WSC. This much should be obvious.
e.g. Blade: Jin STR:30% ; DEX:30%
So at level 75 (α = 0.83) say you have 60STR 60DEX (pulling those out of thin air)
WSC = floor (floor(29.88)
STR+1 → WSC floor (floor(30.129))
DEX+1 → WSC floor (floor(30.129))
But if the mods were 18% and 30% or whatever then boosting the 30% stat does more for WSC. The rub here is that STR also affects fSTR while DEX increases accuracy, and on crit-WS like Blade: Jin, DEX affects crit rate. So what matters is the right mix of stats, and it does matter which one you boost if you're choosing between the two. It's not all about stacking the WSC mods. (On Samurai Y/G/K it is, though.)
Brutal Earring or Suppa for PLD Idle setup. Other earring is Ethereal Earring. Currently using Brutal, was wondering if Suppa would be better. Sword skill is sitting at 278 (1 merit) and will mostly be using Sushi.
Depends on the sword I'd say, if Joy then it can be iffy, if non-DA weapon then Brutal.
I'm gonna be doing this for a while.
Triumph / Brutal or Assault / Brutal for RR?
I have Assault in my macro atm but I'm pretty confident I could get away with using my Triumph instead,
Edit: But I also have E.body, 8/8 Great Axe merits and shit.
I use Triumph , also have 8/8 GA and E.Body as well. Even when I didn't have E.Body or 8/8 GA I still used Triumph, never owned an Assault earring.
Someone else can probably answer this better with atk vs str numbers but I wouldn't count fowling (or minuet) earring out unless your accuracy is very close to cap in tp gear and your ws set has the same or more acc. Personally I use brutal/fowling (or minuet) for everything but if you know in advance you'll be in a high-acc situation you might bring another ear.
e: oh, 8/8GA and ebod as well. I possibly overdo it on the accuracy but shit is situational.
Personally i'd go with Suppa over brutal. +acc will help (even with sushi you probably aren't capped on anything worthwhile), +atk helps with less 0 hits, and the +agi, while extremely marginal, is still +1 parry and shield skill which could help with procs at unprepared moments.
Omega Ring or Snow/Aqua?
(I have both RDM & BLM)
Omega.
If you are talkin' about debuff obviously.
Omega is better for both debuff and nuke, unless you don't need the +3 m.acc to the 320 side of ye old 320/120 (HNM).
Maybe personal preference, but since Ifrit's Bow and Black Tathlum are mutually exclusive, if you don't wanna lose your TP, which one would you prefer. Elvaan have the benefit of Str+2 Sachets in combination with the Tathlum, but for other races it's fulltiming 3 Str vs. 4 Acc/Att. Tending to Black Tathlum, especially when using Kaiten more, but having a Bow equipped alone has some benefits sometime.
I'd go with black tathlum. Its 4-5 acc depending on initial Dex (with 75% chance of rounding to that 5th point of acc on a 2hander) with a nice 4 attack bonus. I think that would outweigh 3 str on ws (and in some cases 1-2 tr depending on what u have in ur ammo slot)
I'd personally go with Ifrit's if I ever get one. The str will definately affect Kaiten more than the 4 attack and accuracy isn't an issue in the majority of situations. Plus the str has a 60%~ chance of bumbing your fSTR up so that will ofcourse go some way to compensating the loss of accuracy where you aren't already capped.
