I am hume and like I said, uncapped acc is now reserved for a fairly small selection of mobs that I fight with any regularity.
Hmm, still a toss up, imo. Would probably depend on your inital acc tbh. With hume sachet, you're still only gaining 2 str. I don't remember what stats are on the mithra, galka, and taru sachets though. I'm sure they'd recieve the most benefit of the swap.
unless all you do is merit at birds and use pizza/sushi for everything you're not capping accuracy as nearly as you think you are, do you actually parse or are you one of the people who assume they cap accuracy?
I have parsed just about every event from Einherjar to Jailers to HNMs.
I would agree a lot of people think they're capping acc when maybe they're getting 80% but I currently tp in +57 accuracy, 97 dex, 299 skill (no bushi yet so will be 304 in time). Comes to 443 accuracy in total unless I made a mistake and for frame of referance I believe you need 406 accuracy to cap on the higher level greater colibri. I would agree certain things like Nidhogg and lurkers I'm never going to cap acc with gear thats currently availible but for most things I find myself doing its enough to cap.
I normally use subs and rabbit pies (when the cost is justified).
Personally, I'd say Black Tathlum + RSE for Elvaan. For everyone else, I'd go with Ifrit's, if it were available. It's going to be situational on gear/target/etc which is actually better, but I would feel very confident saying that in a large # of situations, Ifrit's will end up better, and Black Tathlum would not be worth the money.
Oh, and on the topic of ranged weapons, the ability to pull is very nice. I actually think a lot of non-Elvaan overrate Tiphia. The only real advantage it has over Lightning+1 is the fact you can swap a RSE weapon in for WS.
So I merit on NIN...
I try to avoid Colibri for the most part so AF body + sushi for TP.
1) Perdu Blade is out of reach atm. Main-handing Senju, should I be off-handing Fudo or Unji? I'm using Fudo atm but the delay on Unji looks pretty nice...
2) I'm wearing Rajas full-time. Should I be using Sniper's x2 instead?
Thanks.
"Wearing Ninja Chainmail is like saying you wouldn't wear a Hauby on your ear."
And yeah, definitely Sniper's, especially considering you're giving up accuracy in your body slot.
Bec de Faucon (d:103 delay:528 )
or
Tredecim Scythe (d:95 delay:528 )
for merit pts
will get apoc eventually, so won't invest in a Perdu Sickle
8 base damage is hueg, Stage 4 probably.
Bec de Faucon is an 8.4%~ increase in damage over Tred's. The 1/13 crit adds ~7.7% onto your crit % (probably notably less because you will on occassion autocrit and crit in the same strike therefore lowering the total % bonus autocrit gives). In most situations Bec de Faucon is going to win by a decent margin, Tred may catch up a bit on very high defense targets though.
Cuchulain's Mantle vs Forager's Mantle for:
1) Thf SAWS or unstacked WS without any dagger merits?
2) Sam's Penta set up?
3) Ghetto War-swordchucks-dex build? (Just to reach that 117dex)
I use this set up: ninja chain, 2x snipers, off hand fudo
I think the extra dmg/crits on fudo makes up for the delay, but i do have unji as well...but i was pretty underwhelmed by it.
for shits and giggles i put on Hornetneedle and it was like HF speed w/o any haste spell lol
Mahant Sandals vs Wood M Ledelsens for 65blm.
Excluding feet and stave int bonus, other gear is 97 total INT and +15MAB. So 2 more MAB or 3 more int x.x?
As elvaan, i would personally stack the INT
As someone who realizes race means next to nothing, I'd use the MAB boots(unless your m.acc is incredibly terrible and you NEED that int for some reason.. ie: NQ staves on high IT targets). A good rule of thumb is 2 INT ~= 1 MAB, though it varies a bit with the tier of the spell and how much INT/MAB you already have.
