Whats better... NQ Haub or Koga Chainmail for TP gain on ninja? Obviously haub for WS, but I just got K.Chainmail last night and it nets a total of +2 acc and 3 more atk (when you factor in str) over the haub, but I rarely ever see ninjas wear this.

Haubergeon. Koga is a good....town gear.

5 DEX = 2.5 acc(4~ for 2 handers) so NQ haubergeon actually has a little more accuracy than Koga.

Sattiva is pretty good for NIN or RDM tanking; I believe Merman's ring is their only option for 1 Enmity ring.

For PLD, yeah... Merman's + Hercules are viable options... Rajas / Tamas are probably better options if you have the jobs to support either.

Sattva if you tank more, Tamas if you mage more. Both rings give you a benefit greater than macro swaps of all their combined stats, but neither is game breaking, so it's totally user preference.

Sattiva is VERY good for tanking- slows the game down. Personally though I prefer a nice indica.

Errant Cape. Can use somewhat cheaper alternatives like Prism/Aslan for MND/Cure V build instead of Ixion.

Earrings for 75 MNK...?

Currently using Brutal and Ethereal which I know is perfectly fine... but I'm somewhat considering losing the Ethereal if I can find a better or equivalent earring to use...

I kind of want to stay away from the "minus evasion" line, Storm Loop isn't really a sure thing to go after... I figured there's gotta be a good choice other than those that I'm missing...

Also, I've looked into Diabolos Earring, and might go for that - but it sucks for Dynamis...

The -evasion isn't really going to matter on VT-IT mobs as you're going to be getting hit regardless. I use Brutal/Merman for TP and two attack earrings for Asuran.

If you want to solo, use whatever. Ethereal gives 5 evasion which is awesome for solo, and I personally like Brutal in my other slot for killing shit marginally faster... I don't have an Ethereal (lol@wiping on AN...), so instead I use my bard's Musical earring, which also has 5 evasion.

Diabolos Earring would be pretty good if your accuracy isn't where you'd like it to be, but meh, I personally never bothered. Obviously Brutal and a +5/6 attack earring for dynamis'd be best. Some people can't justify spending 200k+ on Merman's for 1 attack, which is fine. I really just bought mine because I don't like looking at a NQ Coral Earring for my tp set.

If you really want an accuracy earring for merit parties, go with a Minuet Earring.

Brutal/Active Minuet earring when acc is uncapped is the way to go. For solo, I go brutal/ethereal. For when my acc is good, I use Brutal/Merman's.

Byakko's for RR unless your dDEX is -5 or less, then Hecatomb (since you'll likely be fighting something hard).

My dDEX is actually relatively low, that's my main concern was that I didn't have enough for my crit rate to be reasonably decent(and for the slight bit of acc since I have no combat merit spots to spend, I'm Elv so pretty low natural DEX and not a lot from gear so far). Currently using Flame + Spinel but wasn't sure if I wanted to invest in a 2nd Flame or the Thunder.

Yeah you'd want Byakko's, I only use Warrior's because that's all I currently own.
