Humor an up-and-coming WAR:

Luisant Solerets ( +1 STR/DEX/Acc/Atk )
vs
Fighter's Calligae (+ Double Attack, I think it's 1%)

Is there any AF I want for DD? I am thinking AF1 legs (3 acc) might be comparable to Luisant (STR +1 DEX +1 AGI -2 Accuracy +1 Attack +2 ). I'll probably use more AF while I PL myself solo but the whole AF set seems crap-ish for DD, right?

Nah it is close. There is the chance that vs. certain enemies luisant won't improve anything except atk, which means AF wins. I'd definitely WS in Luisant tho.

My advice: TP in AF until Fourth Sabatons. Every WAR should get to experience a shiny red boot phase.

You can't just consider acc as = melee DOT, especially with SAM. Assuming 50% melee/WS (i.e. the acc will result in a mirrored amount of WS dmg) PCC wins. But it's not so much that I'd say you have to use PCC if you think hitting harder is kewl, bro.

But still, it's more accurate to assume than not include any additional WS dmg from TP gained via acc. Not a sam, but it's usually lower melee and higher WS than 50/50, right? If you want to be conservative say 60/40.

yes I'd say you're normally between those rating.

Just got a baby beak mantle (working on the Acc+5 or more one) with acc+2 / eva+2 / subtle blow+1. Is this worth using on Cor and Dnc in merit PTs v/s Colibri? (assuming my melee acc is never capped)

This isn't a "get cuchu. mantle!" question, mind you. Just a Acc+2 augment v/s Amemet+1 which I currently use.

I tend to go Cor/Rng and use meat with a fairly high acc+ setup (with about 12% haste + magic haste + marchx1) if it makes any difference. Although my LSs conclusion seems to be that the acc+2 mantle is a bleh piece.. so I guess I'll NPC and continue trying for an Acc+5 or more piece.

No reason to WS in it, sea gorget will be better even on asuran unless your pdif is terrible. PUP doesn't cap accuracy on anything worth caring what you wear on either, unless I'm misunderstanding something.

Faith only arguably beats PCC on MNK if you gain an extra point of DMG from it. Gorgets beat any torque for any WS besides arguably Drakesbane (critical hit etc.).

Sea gorget does nothing for damage. The only thing is accuracy bonus which is nowhere close to PCC or ancient torque.
