Well, you should be aiming to eat meat in most cases, and if you're not getting a base D upgrade from the h2h skill, then you're looking at;

6.3acc/7atk vs 10acc (PCC; Ancient Torque is even better)

which is roughly 4acc vs 7atk, accuracy obviously winning here.

3 accuracy at 299.

yes you should aim for meat anyway but if you dont do salvage, you will be stuck with pizza most likely and with pizza on most mob Faith is far enough (against depends on what gear you have).

Even the extra base damage doesn't warrant using Faith over Ancient. Even Pizza doesn't cap your hitrate on most stuff.

Absolutely Not Possible, if you're eating Meat and hitting 25% Haste in gear. If you're not, fix those 2 things first. This is, from what I can tell, the best setup you're going to be able to get on Mnk acc-wise: http://ffxigear.com/?ref=4416, and that's 395 acc. Even with 8/8 h2h merits added on top of that, you're adding 14.4 acc to hit 409. *Barely* scraping capped acc, and the model in that setup is a Mithra. Any other race will be below capped acc.

Possible changes would be to ditch full usu and go Turban/Byakko's to keep Haste capped, but you'd end up losing accuracy overall from the change. (7 acc Usu head + 5 Dex usu pants > 15 Dex kitty pants)

We (Raen and me) were talking about Salvage. On birds, the highest possible accuracy without sacrificing good gear is:

82 base DEX (mithra MNK w/ DEX merits) + 4 (torque) + 13 (usukane) + 1 (tathlum) + 4 (Cuch) = 52 ACC
Gear: 10 (weapon) + 4 (tathlum) + 38 (Usu) + 15 (rings) + 9 (torque) + 5 (Cuch) = 81 ACC
Skill: 292 = 282 ACC

Total: 415 ACC. It's possible. It's possible even without Mars's (-1), Mithra DEX (-varied).

if that build is 409acc the he is capped. end of.

This is a far more obtainable build that still caps acc (with 8/8 merits and Focus up)

409 in an absolutely ideal situation, 410 being capped, and if he's elvaan then he loses 4 acc vs the Mithra in the model.

Ah, I didn't see you were talking about Salvage though, my bad. I was responding more towards the bird comment though. And in an ideal damage situation a Mnk would be using Augmented Manopolas over Hades+1, dropping 7-9 acc. I forgot Black Tathlum and Mar's Ring too... bah. Dex merits though? I'd toss those out just for being, well, Dex merits. It's still ridiculously difficult to cap acc on even Birds on Mnk, so for all practical purposes I'd still say Faith for Focus onry.

Depends on other gear, but with his setup, you're wrong I think. His main goal should be to drop Askar hands/head IMO, and pick up Dusk+Turban (hand switch first, head later if you have the acc).

Assault+Askar = 5.75acc, 5attk, 2haste
Hollow+Dusk = 5.25acc, 5attk, 3haste

Unless you're arguing for Assault+Dusk, which is ok as long as he's still accuracy capped.

if you think about it, 431 acc (focus) caps your acc (thats almost 50% of the time); then when focus is down you , with 401 acc, you still cap on the lower level colibris. So in practice, 401 acc with destroyer caps you 75% of the time and gives 92% otherwise, which explains why the parse gives 94% on average.
