I worded that badly, but I know what you're doing, I want to know if we really know. My guess would be rounded up, but to my knowledge, we don't know and for all we know it's rounded to some goofy 256, 512, 1024 fractions. I wanted to know if anyone had an accepted solution.

Overall, it makes little difference, the difference between 1 delay is 1/60th (1.6667%) of a second. To that end, I've never rounded it, because I didn't know.

lowAcc = apx accuracy with the item with lower accuracy equipped
baseHaste = the amount of haste before using either item (remember this includes haste from magic, abilities, etc)

    The formula:
    1 - dHaste / ( ( lowAcc + dAcc ) / lowAcc - 1 ) - hiHaste = baseHaste

    For this example:
    1 - ( 10/1024 ) / ( ( lowAcc + .015 ) / lowAcc - 1 ) - 50/1024 = baseHaste

Using 10/1024 instead of 1% and 50/1024 instead of 5% to make it a little more accurate.

Attached: Graph shows the amount of haste (before headgear) needed at a particular accuracy for the higher haste item (Turban) to become better than higher accuracy item (Askar).

I would expect delay to be rounded down since recast is. It's probably possible to determine which way Dual Wield delay changes are rounded due to changes in TP return, and I would expect Haste to work the same way, though that's not necessarily the case.

    ( 1 - ( difference in haste ) / ( ( ( lower accuracy + accuracy addition ) / lower accuracy ) - 1 ) ) - Higher Haste Item's Haste = amount of haste needed for the highhaste/lowacc item eclipses the lowhaste/highacc

    For this example:
    ( 1 - ( 10/1024 ) / ( ( ( LowerAccuracy + 0.015 ) / Lower Accuracy ) - 1 ) - Lower Haste Item's Haste ) - ( 50 / 1024 ) = %

Using 10/1024 instead of 1% and 40/1024 instead of 4% to make it a little more accurate.
Love it... just need a label: Over this line = Turban Under this line = Askar

    Buccaneer's belt or scout's belt?

I'm a taru. already have scout's belt, will the difference be enough that it even matters to get buccaneer's if it is better?

VZX showed Scout's Belt doing more damage than Buccaneer's ages ago on Alla. They have the Same Racc too, so in short: Scout's.

Without delay, it looks a little silly because normally you'd use something like ( time / ( delay * ( 1 - haste ) ) ) to represent number of swings over a given time. Instead, I'm just using 1 for time & delay, which will just give a % of increased swinging speed 100% being non-hasted speed, then just using the percent as number of swings.

    Dusk:
    90% acc
    1 / ( 1 - 34% haste ) = swinging @ 152% of non-haste speed
Use the percentage as a swings = 151.5152
    Connecting swings: 136.36

    Armada:

    92.5% acc
    1 / ( 1 - 31% haste ) = swinging @ 145% of non-haste speed
Use the percentage as a swings = 144.9275
    Connecting swings: 134.05

Conclusion: 136.36/134.05 = Dusk give 1.7% increase in connecting swings.

Although it's deceiving, b/c if you add march or hasso, the numbers will continue growing, full hasted, probably around 5%.
So under the situation I posted Dusk is 1.7% faster. Is that 1.7% damage, or just attack speed? And how relevant is that going to be in the long run. Thanks ^^

Ignoring the loss of acc and att from switching to dusk (which can be made up elsewhere easily), you'll swing more in a given time which means you are also going to be able to weaponskill more frequently than armada would let you.

1.7% is how many more hits are going to land in a given period time for the circumstances (31% haste & 90% acc before gloves) calculated for and thus is 1.7% more damage over a long period of time both getting to ws faster and dot damage. I

It doesn't count the attack from dusk. Additionally, those are probably conservative numbers to use, when haste and accuracy goes up, Dusk will become better and better. It's as relevant as you feel it is, I guess.

Wyrm Brais + Drn. Greaves +1, no stats gonna beat +20% att[which is 90~150 depend on your buffs] and +10 dex, and for belt I prefer wyrm since I hate missing jumps.

Assuming about 85%~86% Acc before weapons are added. Hades Sainti vs Destroyers on MNK? I already own some for NIN, and am thinking about trying them out in Salvage tanking. Worth it for merit use or no? 4/4 Crit merits, 8/8 H2h, 5/5 Str, 25% gear haste, not a plethora of HQs but a solid build.

It kinda makes no diff tbh because at 85% acc you're going to be capped acc during focus (40% of the time) so even if hades had the advantage when focus was down, you only get that advantage 60% of the time. Wouldhave to be a pretty large gap between the 2 for it to pull away, when 40% of the time it'll do nothing for you.

for pure meat build prolly Hades sainti, could always swap weapons during/outside focus I guess , lol. But pizza means only HQ hades sainti will beat destroyer.

    For Sam/Drg,

    Hagun/Sword Strap/empty/Black Tathlum
    Usu/Ancient/Brutal/Wyvern
    Usu/Usu/Rajas/Toreador
    Cuch/Vbelt/Usu/Usu

    vs

    Hagun/Pole Grip/empty/Black Tathlum
    Turban(ace's)/Ancient/Brutal/Wyvernl
    Haub+1/Dusk+1/Rajas/Toreador
    Cuch/Vbelt/Byakko's/Usu

24% haste vs 26. Less of a haste gap since you're overshooting on the Mix/Match side as opposed to gettin the full benefit when not subbing drg in addition to the sword strap. Would this make full usu > mix/match on /drg?
