Cletine/Assault vs. Skystrider/Supremacy for drg, assuming I can keep a 6-hit with cletine.
Cletine/Assault vs. Skystrider/Supremacy for drg, assuming I can keep a 6-hit with cletine.
I'd go with Cletine/active minuet (I should get one too since I have aurum and can prolly keep 6hit with it)
White Tathlum needed for Cletine to reach 6-Hit build.
5 ATT + 2 ACC + 3% Crit v 6 STR + 6 ATT + 5 Extra TP on Jumps + 1 DEX + 4 ATT + 4 ACC
Condensed that is:
3% Crit v 6 STR + 5 ATT + 6.4TP for Jumps + 1 DEX + 2 ACC
Note: It's 6.4TP since Store TP works on the Jump Bonus.
How so?
Sub SAM (15) + Aurum (7) + Brutal (1) + Rajas (5) = 28 sTP.
Wiki lists Cletine as 13% TP. (13)(.28) = 3.64 (Floors to 3.6). You'll receive 16.6 TP per hit. That is (.1) TP/Hit short of a 6-Hit build.
Now add WSs (Drakesbane assuming you WS using Aurum)
Skystrider: 20TP Return
The bonus 5TP becomes 6.4TP with Store TP gear. In total, you receive 46.2TP with both Jumps. Since you start with 20 TP after WS, you need 80TP to reach 100. Subtract 46.2TP and you see you'll need 33.8TP to reach 100TP. It takes a 3 Hits to reach that 33.8TP. However, if you get hit, that reduces to 2 Hits to reach 33.8TP.
Cletine: 19TP Return
Need 81TP. After both Jumps (33.2TP Total), you need 47.8TP. With a 16.6TP gain, you need 3Hits to reach that 47.8TP. However, unlike with Skystrider, the mob hitting you won't reduce that to 2hits.
Overall, Skystrider combo is the real 6-Hit Build while Cletine only reaches that if you get hit. After WSs, they even out, but if the Skystrider user uses two Jumps, and gets hit, he can obtain a pseudo-4Hit Build. The Cletine user cannot. If you want the 6-Hit build on Cletine, you have to consider the difference I posted earlier.
Smilodan Mantle +1 (STR +4) or Amemet Mantle +1 (ATK +15, STR+2)...
For Blade: Jin?
HQ Smilo is +5, but most definitely Amemet +1 imo. Or, hell, Cuch if that's available at all.
Smilo+1 if you farm or something on TW & Easy prey.
Amemet or Cuchlain's too good to not use for Jin.
And on topic of NIN:
Recently I started to wonder how Shusui/Perdu combo would do VS Senji/Perdu, considering 8/8 Katana in any meat situation.
New to DRK outside of Zerging and questioning setup for merit parties on birds/mamools.
Currently using
Tredecim Scythe (Perdu When High Enough Rank)
Pole Grip
Fire Bomblet
Turban
Peacock Charm
Brutal Earring
Assault Earring
Haubergeon +1
Dusk Gloves
Rajas Ring
Sniper's Ring
Forager's Mantle
Swift Belt
Black Cuisses
Dusk Feet
Now for my question.
The DRK has Ridill, along with Capped Sword Merits for the zerging setup. Would a Axe/Sword work better then Tredecim Scythe, then Perdu? I ruled out Juggernaut because of the Base Damage, but perhaps Maneater?
And if Maneater, does the Hidden Accuracy on the axe when below 100% TP activate on second hand also, the Ridill?
Also if someone could offer suggestions for better legs outside of Homam, it'd be appreciated.
Thanks
Axe/Sword sucks, Maneater's latent affects Ridill too, your set is fine if you're currently working on Homam. If you're not currently working on Homam, start working on Homam.
Small upgrades:
Abyssal or Hollow earring, Minuet when active
Cuchulain's mantle
Aurum cuisses or Askar Dirs
Aurum sabatons
But yeah, Homam, pants feet hands.
yes, DW is some serious fail for drk. santa clause kills baby seals every time you do it. please, stop the madness.
Using this TP setup (http://www.ffxiah.com/members/?q=item_sets&set_id=33860), which would be better:
Neuvo Cosolete (10acc/2% DA) or Haub +1.
I was talking to a SAM in my LS last night and he told me I should get the ACP body. I'm not convinced.
Your friend is smoking crack if he thinks ACP body with acc and DA is better than haub (+1). Quickly disregard everything he has ever said to you because the only use sam will get from ACP body is with Acc/STP augments if they didn't have usukane feet, which you do so it doesn't apply.
Your setup seems fine at the moment, I'm sure you already know the obvious upgrades and are working towards them.
Yugl commented on it... but it won't be a 6 hit build with Cletine. The only way to retain a 6 hit build with Cletine is based on a couple factors:
If Using White Tathlum for the additional Store TP:
1) Not changing any Store TP gear when jumping. Unless offsetting stronger gear with Barone
If not using White Tathlum:
2) Dependancy on multi-hits of a WS
3) Never losing TP due to Feather Tickle, disease, or other factor.
