I use bkote when zerk is down, +1 when zerk is up, if i'm trying to eke every little bit out of my performace. If I'm not and I'm meriting with nubs I use whichever WS macro I'm closest to.

That is also an excellent point, most people won't go that far to eke out a bit more on a parser, but it is a great example.
Cobra Unit Crackrows: HP+22 MP+22 "Magic Atk. Bonus"+3 "Conserve MP"+3
vs Goliard Clogs: DEX+4 INT+4 MND+4 CHR+4 Evasion+5 MP recovered while healing +3
for blm nuking, basically 3 MAB, 3 conserve mp vs 4 INT. I know Yigit Crackrows probably beats both, but Salvage eats up my points. Other gear I have is nothing special, HQ staves, nq: weskit, zmitts, cape, errant legs; moldy, sorc ring, tamas, penitent's.
It should be easy enough to test this yourself. Just pick up or borrow a Diamond Ring and use it in place of Sorcerer's (with full HP) and see how the +4 INT boosts the damage. The math to figure out the damage boost from +3 MAB is straightforward, and then you just compare the results.Originally Posted by fishstix
With that said, the HP, MP, and Conserve MP probably makes the Cobra piece worth using even if the damage isn't quite as high.
Was looking more for people with experience in using it in different situations, but thanks anyways.Originally Posted by Turambar
goliard has maac+2 no? For puddings the MAB should help your nukes more than the INT if you are nonElvaan.
Earth Grip (Macc+2) vs. MND+2 scenario: HNMs Job: WHM and RDM
For the record, I can land slow as WHM without ES on Cerberus, more luck than anything but it can happen.
I use nashira feet on WHM instead of yigit or other +MND piece along with Bahlran's.
Brief Info: 20% haste set up as war. 8/8 axe, 0/8 sword (in the future will merit it to 8/8). Which is better, maneater/joytoy vs juggy/joytoy vs maneater/juggy?
Same question but 8/8 sword.
Level GA, merit GA, enjoy GA, love GA, own with GA.
Instead of wasting 16 merits in the combat category just merit GA and you'll do much better then Axe/Axe or Axe/Sword.
If you chose to go Axe/Axe or Axe/Sword tho, with 0 Sword merits I'd go Manny/Juggy, if you do end up meriting Sword, I'd go Manny/Joy, unless you're talking about something with higher defence and not merit mobs, then go back to Manny/Juggy.
Do you have Pld, Blu, Rdm, Dnc, or some other job that will make use of Sword?
Do you have Bst leveled to make use of Axe?
If so, or if you just really like dual wielding, merit away.
You'll do more with fewer merits with Gaxe.
What would be better for a 75 thf Blau/S. Kukri or Azoth/Blau? Will be getting Azoth for DNC and wondering if it'll help my thf out because relic/X's/P. harpe are out of the question as long as I have a girlfriend lol.
Blau/SK for sure. Azoth is just a bedazzled Harpe so it will match your tutu/fish nets etc etc.
Couple of options on BLU Cannonball setup:
Main: Wing Sword vs. Ifrit's Blade, currently use Wing
Body: AF Body vs. Narasimha's Vest, currently use AF
Also, here's the rest of my set for reference, any other suggestions/recommendations welcome:

Wivre Mask
Chivalrous Chain
Bushinomimi
Ethereal Earring
Pallas's Bracelets

Isn't there a staff that is really good for cannonballing?
Narasimha's as I recall works out better because of the higher defense/str/vit vs blu skill.
Which shield? Isn't Acherons good for that if you're using a sword due to the high Def?
Yeah, Vulcan's staff + axe grip... but I don't use that, because if for whatever reason the mob turns and I don't get SA off, I have a 5% chance of hitting that non-stacked cannonball because BLU has no staff skill.
Yeah, the point is for that to not happen, but sometimes it does.
Currently using Genbu's Shield, AFAIK that's the highest Def shield BLU can use. The body I'm definitely stumped on b/c I know the Blue Magic skill of AF adds to the base damage, but I'm not sure if the STR/VIT from N.Vest adds more b/c I'm unsure of what exactly the mods are on the spell with CA up.
Acheron's shield has more DEF, actually.
Changing that alone won't do much for your cannonball though.
crossbowman's ring (ratt+5) or STR+3 ring? For WS and reg rngd attacks.
Also, Marine M Boots (STR+3 AGI+2) or AF feet (AGI+4) for general use on RNG. Keep in mind the price tag on boots.
So my mnk is getting up there and I been wondering since the update. If Shenlong's Baghnakhs
aren't to hard to get would they replace destroyers ?
Shenlong's Baghnakhs
(Hand-to-Hand) All Races
DMG:+21 Delay:+51
STR +3 Accuracy +10
Double Attack +1% Subtle Blow +3
Lv. 71 MNK / PUP
Destroyers RareExclusive
(Hand-to-Hand) All Races
DMG: +5 Delay: +48
Latent Effect: DMG +18
Critical Hit Rate +6%
Lv. 73 WAR / MNK / RDM / THF / PLD / DRK /
BST / RNG / DNC
You would lose the +6% crit hit rate but you gain 10acc 3subtle blow double attack 1% and it has higher damage and only 3 more delay then destroyers.
So would these replace destroyers or are 6% crit hit too good to let go ?
I'd say for most standard build Monks who need more slots to work in Accuracy, and assuming they aren't a drop off Pande Warden... yeah, they'll replace Destroyers.
Best for PUP, that's for certain.
But they look like they'll easily be on par with Destroyers if not ahead of them in most situations.
