Algol is better than Subduer so your question should be whether or not Naglering is better than Algol.

If you really want to ask whether or not it's better than a Subduer well, as a DRK myself, let's just say it should painfully obvious to you.
If it was obvious to me i wouldnt ask... i havent played drk... in about 2 years and no longer have the character that even has my drk 75... and main mage atm so wont take time to lvl it again to test it out. Plus some in my ls argu with me... so this is also to point it out to them
IMO i think Naglering is better but i may be wrong(although i doubt it)
Okay then fine. Naglering is definitely better. In fact, Algol is better than Subduer by virtue of delay. Subduer can't 6-hit. Sure, the crit rate is nice, and probably even better than the small amount of Triple Attack on Algol - but you definitely can't TP nearly as fast with a Subduer so in the course of a fight the difference is huge.

Naglering makes it even EASIER to hit a 6-hit build while supplying accuracy and an assload of Attack (+20). That attack will greatly outweigh the rare Triple Attack proc over the course of a party so you'll undoubtedly see Naglering outparsing both Subduer and Algol.

Hydro Claws +1 vs. Tourney Patas

I already own the claws. Assume steady supply of kilo pumps.

Agreed. I'm having trouble with the Hydra line because the Puk is an asshole to me and has wiped us every time I've tried to low-man it. One Mamool pop dropped Enkidu Mittens (freelotted) and then for the next set I popped Armed Gears instead because I also want Aurum Sabatons. Of course, they didn't drop. So now I've gotta go do the Puk again, yay. -.-

At least Iriz Ima is easily solo/duo material. I've pretty much spent about 30,000 zeni on the new system with absolutely nothing to show for it other than a bit of gil from selling new elemental grips.

Van neglects the fact of the Fire added damage, and he takes for granted that Nag > Algol, which until not seen parsers, and from hnms, not shit merit pts, It wont prove anything.

However it is indeed better than Subduer for the 6-hit build that Subduer is unable to obtain w/o 48 stp.

    Assuming no E-Bow;

Selene's Bow vs. Cobra Unit Bow (I heard somewhere the CUB was actually decent)

    Re: Whats better?

    Assuming you don't have Rajas:

Selene's will give you 6 hits to 100 TP with /SAM, Cobra takes 7, I'd say selene's wins in this situation.

    Assuming you DO have Rajas:

You'll have a 6 hit setup with either weapon when /SAM, I'd say Cobra is the better option here.

Overall (/WAR), Selene's is probably the better bow when in it's max ranged attack phase, when it's not, Cobra most likely out does it because of the higher damage and lower delay.

I have a Rajas so I would personally go with Cobra 24/7 and save the hassle of switching bows for a minute improvement.

    The Correct answer:
    [spoiler:24ng6x54]Get an E bow.[/spoiler:24ng6x54]

    Re: Whats better?

I know this is a silly question, but:

For soloing randomly: Grim Staff or Thyrusstab?

Thyrusstab: KSNM wep DMG:52 Delay:402 Latent effect: DMG:65 Critical hit rate +6%

Grim Staff: DMG:60 Delay:390 STR+5 MND+6 Additional effect: HP drain

The grim's got the 5str (not idea how much that helps normal hits), and it does have 6mnd for Spirit taker.

That staff is blm only, and the grim staff is smn only...

I'm smn main, so I can't use that staff.

    Re: Whats better?

Wow sorry, I was so sure it was BLM/SMN that I didn't bother to check. I'm probably just thinking of Claustrum jobs, aren't I?

I guess I would base my decision on how good the drain effect is. Also with the Grim Staff you won't have to dick around unlocking it.

    Re: Whats better?

yea those are the lolclaustrum jobs.

The HP drain is ok on EM and lower, and crap above really. I dunno, I was hoping someone with some math could help out.

I guess I'll ask another more interesting question:

For my Dnc: I run a 24% haste build

    Behe+1, Wyv target, Tiphia
Wturb, Chiv Chain, Wyv Ear, Spike Ear
Raparee, Dusk hands, Ulth ring, Raja Ring
Ammet+1, Swift, Pln. Pants, Dusk feet

What I'm wondering is is whether it'd be a better idea to try to get Barabrossa Pants and Vel/Spee Belt (though no chance of this happening soon) to get 5% more haste , swap out the /drg, and go /war with 24%. Of course getting Dusk +1 would be great, and then I'd hit 25% haste with /war, which I think would be nuts.

Anyway based on the above gear: Did I sacrifice too much acc for the sake of haste meleeing? Obviously I macro in acc for steps/flourishes.

    I did Boreas Cesti (<3) > Mythril Knuckles +1 > Cross Counters

I think with the Acc and extra dmg, the Knuckles +1 will probably outparse the Claws +1. But I could be wrong. I just had my eyes locked on CC, and was so upset when I realized I couldnt use my Boreas Cesti anymore.

I'm curious about this too, forever ago when I did NIN I duo'd 12-25 without any PL with another NIN both using 2 wind fan katanas and plenty of wind fans. 100% proc each swing and did 3x as much per swing as the katana swing itself, chained T crabs out the ass, I told my wife this as she was leveling MNK and to favor Hydro Claws when she could get them, she did, along with paying 20k for a stack of hydro pump and only proc'd about less than 10% of the time for very low damage.

I couldn't ever figure it out, could anyone clue me in lol?

As far as the damage goes, kilo pumps will do more than normal hydro pumps (I usually proc for around 50 when it isn't resisted, which is about how much damage a good punch does so it's like getting double attack on that fist). The proc rate is sadly pretty low, but I see it go off often enough to matter (at least once per fight, if it doesn't die too quickly). MNK damage is more about your STR/attack and your skill to begin with, the actual DMG rating on your weapon doesn't contribute a lot more to that unless it's a large increase, so one has to consider extra effects more closely. Probably does need a parse to know for sure though.

If it's relevant, I'd also be rocking 16% haste (fuma+wyvern+brown) for this once I finish gearing.

Personally, when I want to have fun, I use a Hope Staff and /thf. Fenrir 24/7, never runs out. If you have a brutal and Pole strap it gets even more fun.

I did the MNK/DRG 16% Haste setup 40-49, it was an absolute blast. And if there was a WHM in the party for Haste... my MNK would just tear through things.

Sorry if this has been asked already, but Habaki vs Dune Boots for basic TP gear on MNK?

Also, I am not a monk. Go easy on me.
