Static > Novio > Moldavite for magic bursts.
For TP, Askar and Turban are pretty even. Turban is better in high haste situations, Askar is better in low accuracy situations.
For WS, OHat is good if you aren't consistently landing all hits. You might also leave your acc rings on. If you don't need that much acc (and don't have Hecatomb), Askar has decent STR.
On Mamool, the amount of acc you need varies widely between mobs so you probably want to have multiple WS eq macros: WHM/BLM have low evasion, DRG/BST/BLU have medium evasion, NIN has high evasion, and THF has ludicrous evasion. I'd WS in acc gear on NIN and THF mobs even eating sushi, unless Feint is on.
inc Mandau Wednesday, so in regards to 60% STR mod on Mercy Stroke:
Legs:
Hecatomb Subligar DEX+8 ATT+20
or
Enkidu Subligar STR+4 DEX+4
I'm assuming Heca, but if Enkidu wins, does:
Hecatomb Subligar+1 DEX+9 ATT+22
outperform it?
Also, hand slot in regards to TAWS.
Hecatomb Mittens+1 STR+8 DEX+5
or
AF+1 +15% AGI Mod
I'm assuming Heca+1 for MS, but how much AGI is needed to wear AF+1 for other TAWS?
WS Gear (Stroke gear):
Heca/torque(gorget)/pixie(triumph)/brutal
Skadi(Heca+1)/Heca+1/Rajas/Thunder(Flame)
Cerb/Warwolf/Heca/Heca+1
Feel free to nitpick or suggest other things or experiences, etc..
Hopefully I got shit typed right, I'm at work atm D:
If stacked with SA, Hecatomb Subligar will outperform it... and if unstacked, I'd expect Hecatomb Subligar to outperform Enkidu again (Str4 Dex4 should be stronger than Dex8 in most cases, but attack20 should easily produce a clear winner).
AF+1 Hands will beat down Heca+1 hands on TAWS Mercy Stroke when AGI ~> 94 or so although I may be doing that wrong.
What's better? Ecphoria ring+woodsman or 2 woodsman? I've been leveling a new character so I don't have access to rajas or the +4 atk/acc ring from ToAU and I've been trying to decide what I want for my rings for TP building on some jobs and I can't decide if 1 more acc is really worth the extra cost on woodsman.
If Ecphoria makes the difference in shaving a hit off, or allows you to switch out Chiv Chain for PCC and not lose a hit, then Ecphoria. Woodsman otherwise.
while leveling, 1 acc may not be worth the nearly double cost to you personally; but the +1 acc *is* better. (see: people using jaeger instead of woodsman)
whether or not that particular +1 store TP is worth anything to you (and therefore outweighs that 1 acc) is almost always a question of 1) rajas and 2) which job. so it's unlikely that it matters for you.
Have a 32 WAR sub on mule that I'm trying to take to 37 quickly and lazily, subjob options are NIN, THF, or MNK that's only 17 so will gimp for the last 2 levels. Which is best assuming both capped axe and capped GAxe?
I personally did /MNK till 37, but I was duoing with my gf and PLing myself at the same time. Double attacking and then countering was very fun, but it would probably make you an MP sink in a normal party situation. /THF goes really well with Sturmwind at that level since it works with both hits, so that'd probably be best assuming you're not pulling hate auto-attacking (I've had this issue a lot on my WAR, even with THFs planting hate onto an actual tank).
I bought a woodsman and an ecphoria for my blu because I couldn't afford 2 woodsman. Now that I got sam leveled up a bit I use the same two because Store TP +1 is a nice addition to my already active Store TP. In the end..that 1 acc is a minor difference at best..and for jobs without a lot of store tp..the +1 store tp is a minor difference at best as well.
while i'm expecting it's probably just going to boil down to "it depends" i just got a hadean body today. my primary goal was to get it for brd since it should outperform my lolaf+1 by a significant margin but i'm pondering other applications. i'm still going to stick w/ my nashira body for drain/aspir/stun ofc, but i'm not sure how it would compare to my wizard's coat for sleep. under what conditions would i want to use the shadow coat over af+1 and vice versa? i'm guessing it won't outperform af1 for rdm though. is that a safe guess?
Having trouble deciding on which would be best overall atm, X's Knife/Blau Dolch, or X's Knife/Sirroco Kukri? Just got my X's Knife about a month ago before I got hacked (Didn't loose it in the roll back thankfully.) So didn't have much time to really test either setup.
Also, still debating on using the Homam Corazza over the Rapparee Harness. General haste build for me atm is turban, harness, homam hands and feet. Don't have the legs yet, and the NM in Sacrarium is a stingy fucker, but I use Potent Belt until he stops being stingy. I use Coerul Subs more than anything on my thief for most things, which in theory would mean putting the Corazza to make up for the lack of acc from sushi for my haste build.
Thoughts? Tips?
Any and all help would be much appreciated.
I think I posted the math for corazza > rapparee a page or two back.
Edit: here it is again:
Acc+15 will beat Haste+4 unless your acc is capped or getting Haste and double March, and then the TA bonus makes it even better.
If Acc+15 brings your acc from 87.5% to 95%, that's an 8.6% improvement in hits/sec.
If you have full Triple Attack merits so Homam brings you from 10% to 12.5% TA, that's a 4.5% improvement in hits/sec.
If you have Homam Hands/Legs/Feet and Turban and Swift for 18% Gear haste and getting Haste and double March for 53% base Haste, adding 4% more is a 9.3% improvement in hits/sec.
With capped magic haste, 61% -> 65% is an 11.4% improvement.
With capped magic haste and Speed Belt, 63% -> 67% is a 12.1% improvement.
1.086*1.045=1.135, a 13.5% overall improvement from Homam body, so it wins even in ideal Haste conditions, unless the acc is going to waste (i.e. Feint).
