That doesn't account for the times I use Y/G/K on anything with higher defense or if I want to interupt a spell with silence or something, as I would loose 6 hit on any of those occasions.
    no, you won't.

as long as you got 1 more hit in after the ws you'll have enough tp to hit in six.

    ^ 17.2(ws with aftermath) > 17.2(aftermath) > long delay > 16.4 x 4 = 6 hits.

YGK is same as missing outright with kaiten; as long as you got y/g/k off within 20~ seconds of the kaiten you'll have enough time to get 2 hits in.

on higher def stuff yeah, swap in the extra store tp; if you're in a situation where you can primary kaiten, you won't need to.

Walmart turban vs askar helm. yes it know it's been asked alot but i couldn't find anything specific with the search function. Logically im thinking that the 1% is better probably but at the same time IT's made me consider the possibility of me breaking a dex tier vs some stuff during the tp phase.(please remind me of how much dex i need to break said tier)

I have 77 str and 68 dex as /sam before the stat+ from gear and the same str and 69 dex when /nin.
the following is a link to my current gear during tp.
    http://www.ffxiah.com/item_sets.php?id=36535
If I swap in askar head, somehow get the hands, get a lightning bow if i still need dex, and swap from blood ring to thunder ring i can get up to 115dex.
What's the dex tier for mamools in general as well? is there a link to a site where the numbers are actually displayed? I'd like to be able to know if i should do some swapping around if i go to a different camp(eg castle oz)
    I also have drg 75.
75 base str and 65 base dex on /sam.
    http://www.ffxiah.com/item_sets.php?id=36538
Drgs dont generally break dex tiers to my knowledge but i might as well ask.

dex builds arent worth it for 2 handers, not sure who tested but its a much lower % than the 25% you can get with 117+ dex with 1 handers at colibri, mamool you need something nuts like 140-150 dex for the same tier.

do you benefit from the fstr? if you do it's likely that askar is better (assuming you get both 2 acc and 1 fstr from it)

    wut

I've parsed 19%+ Crit rate with only 108 Dex and my +6% Rampager.

Dex builds are even cooler on a 2her cause you get the extra .25 acc per point of dex.

I have no data to back it up but since the dawn of time I've only heard it's exactly the same minus the extra Defense.

DRK/DRG zerging with ridill 2x SV marches etc. If i have 25% gear haste would wyvern targe(1%haste) or januwiyah+1(30hp) be better. Assuming 2k hp with food no drain2. I read somewhere in the old rune chopper threads that it actually takes 26% haste in gear to cap gear haste. Would the small % of haste you pickup out perform 30 hp at ~68% haste or only when 93% haste could be achieved?

Another askarzuccheeto question. at what haste% does walmart outperform askar without a doubt. I do get to zerg with high haste #s on rare occasions.

I'll ignore crit rating since it's hard to estimate for without alot of caveats about total gear; and make other assumptions favorable to askar where appropriate; the mob in question is of course totally arbitrary and probably doesn't exist irl. I dont feel like working it out with a real mob because I'm on my lunch break and don't have the time to devote.*

    so 4 str, 4 dex 2h -> 3 attack, 3 accuracy, 1 fstr.

assuming a WD of approximately 75 (the lowest 2h weapon in common use; makes fstr more valuable) and an fstr of 10 (mob vit + 36 so ~100-130 depending on mob in question; again, a little low, to make fstr better) 1 fstr is worth about ~+1.17% dps

assuming ~600 attack (reasonable for a zerg situation but not high for a zerg situation) and a mob def of about 400 (low for stronger mobs, but it makes the math easier) and a mob level of 90; 3 attack is worth about 1.01% dps. (the delta on this is pretty minor; on 300@82 instead of 400@90, it's worth about 1.006% or .004% less; small enough that I'm comfortable with basically ignoring the difference.)

3 accuracy worst case is worth about 1.6% assuming you get benefit from all 3 points. in a more reasonable 90% base accuracy case; 3 accuracy is worth about 1.67%

multiply it all together and you get a total dps increase of ~1.97% (mostly from the accuracy and fstr). for 1% haste to have equivalent value, you would need to be sporting about 49% haste. at double march + haste spell you would need a further 14% haste in gear/ja ignoring the head slot; which is possible but not necessarily guaranteed. (on samurai for instance, to do this without hasso and maintain six hits requires either usukane sune-ate or speed belt; which aren't exactly -rare- but aren't terribly common either.)

so; about 50% total haste ignoring the head slot is when w.turban starts to pull ahead of askar.

*and this has been worked out before somewhere by me and failuremidgard; in fact, we had almost a full page of discussion on it..

Trying to decide if I should start using Swift Belt for Bind, my set has noish Haste but I'm Elv so also somewhat naturally low on INT.

    Current set is:

    Aquilo's/Raptor +1/P. Tathlum
    Duelist's/Enfeebling/Enfeebling/Abyssal
    Warlock's +1/Duelist's/Omega/Tamas
    Prism/Penitent's/Mahatma/Goliard

I'd have to say personally safe > sorry rather take longer to recast bind, then to have it resisted.

    Depends on mob.

Depends on the situation imo, in NW Apollyon I actually have been putting D Tabard + Swift Belt on for Bind, and haven't been resisted (makes a nice timer on Bind too). It looks like the rest of your gear easily makes up for the loss of INT, and since Bind is kind of random, I'd say go for it on the not-so-resistant mobs.

Should also get an Ice Grip if you're looking for min/maxing for Bind. (and if you have the inventory room)

Until there are conclusive tests published that prove beyond reasonable doubt that INT does indeed affect the "potency" of Bind, I'd recommend using Swift Belt isntead of Penitent's for now. And assuming you don't own Morrigan's Cuffs, you might want to look into using Dusk Gloves in place of Duelist's since they're doing absolutely zilch for your Binds. Of course, if you're in an appropriate zone, M.C.Bracelets would be an even more attractive option.

After seeing a RNG with Yoichi sporting a Gunner's Mantle in the Relic thread, I was wondering if it's really worth it...
    Amem +1 vs. Gunner's which boils down to 2 STR vs. 5 R.attk and -10 R.acc.

Askar Hands (5 Dex & Haste +2%) vs Dusk Gloves (Haste +3% & Atk +5) for Sam, in 6 situations. Assume Seigan 90% of the time, 2 Marches, and Haste.

    A. 299 Skill. 480 Delay. 20% Haste without either gloves. 102 Total DEX w/ Askar, 97 without. +48 Acc in gear. 421 Attack before Dusk's +5 Atk. (Futsuno, Drg sub)

    B. 304 Skill. 480 Delay. 15% Haste without either gloves. 104 Total DEX w/ Askar, 99 without. +38 Acc in gear. 428 Attack before Dusk's +5 Atk. (Futsuno, War sub, with Bushi)

that's alot of situations, - 5 dex is going to be 4 accuracy most of the time (all of your situations fall in this area) - I would generally wear 4 accuracy over 1 haste, the attack is probably countered by the crit bonus from 5 dex, but it's hard to say exactly because of how crit works; either way, I feel that askar hands are generally better than nq dusk gloves, although the enmity might give some melee issues on certain fights.

hq dusk is another story of course.

Yeah Hq Dusk isn't quite an option for me right now unfortunately and sorry about all the situations XD

Thanks for the input, walking slow was something I can deal with but rather hate and Enmity is nothing that I worry about, so I'll gladly switch over to Askar!
