I use a program called ConvertXtoDVD. I've burned a lot of anime to DVD's and it works great. The subtitles are clear and you can make a custom dvd menu screen. I used a torrent to get mine, but of course you can buy it, http://www.vso-software.fr/products/convert_x_to_dvd/

You could just buy a dvd player that plays .avi files.
Philips(DVP642) can play .avi files. It's cheap too, like $50ish. Just pop in the dvd with the .avi files and play them.

this is what i do. I don't like to go through the hassle of mastering/authoring dvds, plus those dvd players play divx, and other popular codecs. There are new versions that have a usb port which just seems really cool to me. I would just put movies on my usb drive or hook up my external hdd to my dvd player. Very handy, I probably will get one if one of my dvd players dies on me

They only support flash drives and rarely work with moving part drives such as USB external hard drives.

Suggestion to BGBoards: Create a 'DHURR I CAN'T USE GOOGLE' forum and dump threads like this into it. Getting to be as bad as the 'do my homework for me' trend from several months back.

is where I've always gone for DVD authoring guides/software/updates. I've never needed to go elsewhere.

well i suppose since you put 'rarely' instead of can't, I will only say there are plenty of drives that can do it and the evidence is hereand here.

Yeah quite a few can I guess but i've never come across one that states they support it; seems to be a trial and error which the links you posted are great >.>

Just for sake of hassle and customer issues in stores, we always advise flash drive support only.
