The bush also work, but I meant the "tree". It's much easier to use the circular tree in the water close to the bush. Should never attack you through it, and prudence pathing is even worse there.

Did the kiter ever had to face "Flee"? I'm curious to know why we arent seeing it, but the other group above had to deal with its 2h.

7/10 times, Temperance pops in SE tower for us. Iunno why, but he seem to love that one. Its always the first one we check nowadays.

Yes but we had a rdm/nin kite him most of the time (the thf/nin only did the pulling part) and the rdm/nin did Bio2 it, so that may have caused it.

Re: Resist rate of enfeebles on Tier2 Jailers?

I was the RDM/NIN helping the THF, and this is what I noticed:

    • Initial flee when they were popped.[/*:m:d722f]
    • It gained flee-speed every time it used PD.[/*:m:d722f]
    • It would often do PD when hate changed, followed by a warp to the kiter.[/*:m:d722f]
    • During it's "warping" it would hit the kiter, but the hits didn't show up in the log. So you'd have to recast shadows even though you didn't know if some were taken or not.[/*:m:d722f]

Even with warping and flee-speed, he was easy to kite with 2 people.

That must be what triggered it then. PD can be used once every 3-5min (forgot how long exactly) and it's based on damage taken. Might be better to not use dot at all next time, and keep hate on the puller (I dont think it matter if target change but you never know).

It won't always engage with flee, but it's better not count on that.

Re: Resist rate of enfeebles on Tier2 Jailers?

Sorry for rehashing this topic but it has so much information gathered together (thanks Kaylia, they were _very_ helpful!).

Last week we completed our first JoL(JLo, w/e) set and have been looking to try him sometime soon. Theres a bunch of information that I'm trying to find out beforehand though. One of which is how much HP do the summons have and if they have any innate resistance to a certain magic/element? From what I've read people mostly use sync -ga3 to kill summons up till Ru'Phuabos. After that strategies deviate per LS, some keep on -ga3 summons and others hold 2 and tier4 the one that spawns. In the case of my LS, depending on the need for other jobs our BLM count can be in the range of 4 to 7. Also depending on how many of them show up, most likely we will have around 4 BLMs. Will this be enough to at least -ga3 the summons up till Ru'Phuabo?

At the moment we are looking at using 2 tanks (PLD+RDM) with WHM,BRD,RDM and possible BLU or SMN support. We normally only have 1 WHM we can possibly get 2 or even 3 but will lose out on SMN and BLM. From what I've read JoL's enfeebles have a larger range then it's -ga3. Will it be possible for 1 WHM to support the tanks while staying out of breakga range? I didn't find anything about the exact radius of those spells (20'? 30'?).

As it stands, if I assume everyone to be coming we will hopefully have around 18 people with the following setup:

    tank pt
PLD/... (no idea if he has /RDM or not)
    RDM/NIN
    BRD/WHM
    RDM/...
    WHM/SMN
    SMN/WHM or BLU/...

    mage pt
    4x BLM/...
    BRD/WHM

    melee pt
    THF/... or RNG/...
    THF/... or SAM/...
    RNG/... or SAM/...
SMN/WHM (can possible go WHM or RDM)
    free spot for BRD switching

    add pt
    PLD/NIN
    NIN/... (can go either /WAR /DRK or /RDM)
    RDM/WHM
    free spot for BRD switching

Pretty much anyone has /NIN (except a certain taru BLM )

Re: Assorted information about Sea Jailers

Done about 11 JoLs now, always using the same strat which works for us.

3 PLD/NIN tanks in triangle formation with BRD RDM WHM
Dmg - either SMNs, MNKs, SAMs, RNGs. Last time we used about 6-7 SAMs with BRDs and destroyed it.

    Outside group

Puller pt of 3 NINs or THF to pull the adds with WHM and refresher.

2 BLM pts with BRDs. Usually around 7-8 BLMs.

Everyone else gets switched into main alliance DDs accordingly and additional healers outside heal.

We always AGA3 the summons. 4 BLMs CAN do it but if one dies and becomes double weak you could have some issues. I would try and get 5 BLMs to be safe. We never hold any summons once it starts to summon Phuabos only. We just continue the pull and AGA3 nuke strat. Always works for us np.

Re: Assorted information about Sea Jailers

Been thinking really hard about Jailer of Justice for awhile now, we just don't have the BLMs to do the 4 BLMs + outside nuke party setup. All we have is 2 BLMs in our entire LS. Once we tried having melees switch target for WS, and it worked for a bit, but not long enough.

Has anyone ever beaten Jailer of Justice with an alternate setup than the BLM nuking one?

They really spawn too fast to do that.. it might work but it might not. But really how can a LS not field at least 4 BLM?

unsure if this was posted above because some of those posts are a big mess, but someone mentioned bio prudence to death. bad idea. it's erase move adds a big regen effect and it will not use this tp move unless it has something to erase either. so if you're going to DD prudence slowly, wouldn't recommend using DoT (as silly as that sounds).

We have to small-man everything, and at current we only have 2 BLMs.
