Low man sky

Did a quick search and didn't see exactly what I was looking for, but what a general minimum for low manning the 4 Gods? I know Genbu can be done with ease, so mainly I'm looking for Seiryu, Suzaku and Byakko. With my current work schedule I rarely have any time for doing sky outside of just doing it with some close friend in my current linkshell which is limited to 7-10 that would go depending on the time. Just wondering if we had a shot at the those 3 with that number.

Uh jobs matter a lot, but assuming you have the right ones, yes you can. I can only imagine Suzaku's 2hr being bothersome depending on your set up.

I always forget to mention jobs, but the "main" jobs that I've always been told we need such as pld, whm, rdm/drk, we have. We have a nin/drk and pld/nin available for tanking (2 nin or 2pld if we needed), 1whm, and 1 rdm/drk. Melees we have, and from Dynamis, I'm use to doing drop/add into multiple parties on brd to give everyone songs.

Two NIN/DRK work really nicely for low-manning gods because the stun spam will negate a lot of TP attacks. Two tanks, a Bard, a RDM/DRK, a WHM, a BLM and you are set for Genbu through Seiryu and killing all pop NMs, not sure about Byakko though. Ranger is really nice as your melee for shadowbinding Seiryu, but even if you cannot get on, you always have ES Bind and CS - Stun access.

I've done low-man sky and gods like this for awhile now and it works fine, depends on the players.

I do a lot of low man sky, normally about 8 people or so, we really just do Byakko and Genbu, because nobodyr really wants anything from Suzaku or Seiryu. Genbu can be done with 6, we use a few more (whoever shows up), but normally our set up is 2 tanks (PLD/NIN, but NIN/WAR or maybe even /DRK works, too.), a RDM/WHM, WHM/SMN, 2 DDs (THF and WAR Mainly), and then 2 BLMs. That's more than enough, but that's the "core" group that normally shows up..

Byakko is a different story, he's a little harder, we do 2 PLD/NINs, as well as as 2 WHMs, 2 RDMs, a BRD, and a couple Melees (THF, NIN, DRK, RNG seem to be popular), and 2-3 BLMs for a stun. I know this is a lot, and kind of goes over the "Low man" idea, but it's all we've been able to take him as, so far.

I haven't done Suzy or Seiryu, but I'd imagine they'd be not much difference from Genbu as long as you have a RDM or RNG to deal with the 2hr, just have BLMs ready, and an SC Set up if at all possible.

You just said 8 people, but I count 11 with this setup >_>. Or did you meant 8 for genbu only?

I think all gods can easily be done with a skilled group of 6 people.

You can just normal cast bind with decent accuracy on seiryu, and firetank CS suzaku if you don't want to rely on 2 hour/RNG in that small setup

Beaten Suzaku Seiryu fairly easily with 3 rdm/nins, nin/war, thf/drk, whm, blm (sometimes 2), brd, rng. Can probably take out one rdm if you are good, and the rng as well if you think you can handle the en-. As thf/drk, I didn't have much issue with solo stun duty, but having a blm to cover you is handy. We just had a few accidents on deaths to seiryu from flukes during 2hr and stuff, but seiryu's been soloed, and duoed/trioed by rdms, so that doesn't really matter, huh? Haven't tried Byakko but I don't think we're doing sky again any time soon due to other issues.

I will go ahead and say that you could not beat Byakko with that set-up. You would not even have close to the damage to take him down fast enough for the WHM to not run out of MP, even with 2 hours and everything including Soul Voice'd songs. With the constant double and triple attacks, diaga's and multiple shadow taking TP moves, damage is going to get through and you wont have the MP to keep up.

I will go ahead and say that you could not beat Byakko with that set-up. I'm fairly certain this setup works. If you want extra safety, I would suggest blind pots + bat earrings on the NINs. I'd personally try NIN/DRKx2 BRDx2 RDM/DRK BLM/WHM if I had to 6 man this in a pinch. 2 NIN/DRKs with a good equipment setup and bat earrings do rather well on it if played decently. Setup has access to 4 stunners and you would get 4 song buffs on the tanks (march march ballad2 mambo probably?). Healing isn't a huge issue for a sky god as long as you stack enough buffs on tanks.

2 fully hasted nin/drks, a rdm and a blm is a whole lot of stunning, I don't imagine the whm would run out of mp THAT fast.
