Faster is not always better. Have you done any parsing with this setup? You're losing a lot of DPS with the combo you are using and since the TP floor change quite some time ago (removing floor of 5) you won't gain any real TP benefits from going faster. If you want to go faster grab a beestinger and you'll speed it up a notch, since it seems like you don't care about losing damage over time to gain some speed.

I have not parsed it no, but I think the math is rather simple here. Damage per swing pales in comparison to damage from Jin and getting more Jin's faster is what will increase your DoT. The difference in Jin's between Senj/Perdu and Perdu/Hayabusa is minimal. It's the same justification for U/U or P/U.

I'm more interested in how much of this "gear" is actually yours and not borrowed and/or given from a certain someone.

In regards to Karasuageha, you can have mine that is rotting in MH till I finally ding 70.

    Lets, see.
Haub +1 definitely borrowed. Dusk borrowed, but I am looking at just getting my own. And the Flame Ring is borrowed, thats pretty much it anymore. Oh and the Hayabusa.

I would kill for a Karasuageha though. LOL

Yes, while it is true that damage per swing pales in comparison to damage from Jin, you have to remember that TP floor was dropped out quite some time ago meaning your TP gain won't be too far off regardless what setup you use. For awhile a LS member of mine was saying how good this setup was so I tested it out to prove him wrong. I found with my TP setup (as seen in the following screenshot). For clarification the neck is Hope, I think everything else is recognizable. I also use Ninja Chainmail +1 in the right situations and Toreadors ring for Senju main hand rather than Rajas. In the day swap Koga Tekko +1 with Dusk Gloves.
With this setup and Hayabusa I was getting 8-9 TP consistently with 10 very rarely. However, 9-10 very common with Unji/Perdu and 10 being the most common TP return with Senju/perdu with 1-2 9's per set to 100%.
    http://i152.photobucket.com/albums/s...108_155111.jpg
I was finding that it took about 12-13 swing sets with Perdu/Hayabusa with 94-95% accuracy due to the fact that 10 sets usually landed me roughly around 80% (1-2 miss + 1-2 double attack and 8-9% TP return) needing 2-3 more swing sets to get to 100% (some times DA proced more or accuracy was lower so not exact).

However, with Unji took 11-12 and Senju 10-12 (10 being very rare) swing sets to get to 100% TP. I found wearing Rajas for the store TP while wearing Unji/Perdu helped me get 10 a lot more, but helped a lot less on Senju/Perdu for cutting a TP round.

While I do agree with you that Jins give you a lot of damage compared to DD over time. I don't think the amount of Jins that you would be getting with Perdu/Hayabusa would net you even close to enough damage to warrant wearing it.

Senj/Perdu with DW IV, Chainmail and Suppanomimi = 122.1 delay per hand = 9 TP per round (4.5 TP per swing) = 12 rounds to 100 (108).

Perdu/Hayabusa with DW IV, Chainmail and Suppanomimi = 114 delay per hand = 8.8 TP per round (4.4 TP per swing) = 12 rounds to 100 (105.6).

Now this is before Store TP but lets assume you have .07 Store TP (Rajas, Brutal, Chiv):

    Senj/Perdu = 9 TP per round * 1.07 Store TP = 9.6 TP per round = 11 Rounds to 100 (105.6).

    Perdu/Hayabusa = 8.8 TP per round * 1.07 Store TP = 9.4 per round = 11 Rounds to 100 (103.4).

Taking this into consideration with the normal TP return from Jin, both set ups should be getting to 100 TP in 11 Rounds. If my math is correct Senj/Perdu will not be able to get to 10 rounds without a double attack proc on Jin, while Perdu/Hayabusa would not be able to get to 10 unless there are like 3 double attack procs on Jin which is still debatable if that can even occur. LOL

If you do some of the things that you say, like remove Chainmail and stop using the Rajas then things change. Not using Chainmail will increase your TP gain while removing the Rajas will hurt it. It's one minute until I leave for the day, so I will leave that for another time.

Believe me, I have even made the argument for the idea that there are there are diminishing comparative differences between different Katana sets. So I understand what you are saying, I am just saying I like how fast I swing with this set up, it's fun and the damage is good.

Isn't Unji/Perdu an option worth looking at?

    Why just Perdu/Haya or Senj/Perdu?

I know Perdu/Haya +1 would be fun, same with Kara, or you could just get a Kikoku/Perdu >.>, is Unji still expensive?

They are all viable, but Perdu/Hayabusa is the lowest combined delay on decent Katanas.

What I learned over the time is... Katana calculations look pretty neat on paper but oh my... with full Haste gear, Dual wield, Haste and a March its almost impossible to hit your WS macro with all gear swaps and a /wait 1 at 100% since you swing the shit out of the enemy

I'm working on a Speed setup as well, but I got a new toy to use with it when messing around:

Blizzard Gloves! Not sure how good the enspell damage is from them, but I figure they'll be fun to play around with for extra dot. (Pretty sure you don't need to keep them on after using since you don't with the pants)

Speed setups are really fun though regardless of how good the dot is compared to higher damage katanas.

other wiki states the enblizzard base dmg is 10 but is affected by your enhancing. So a job with no enhancing will be doing 1 dmg enblizzards. ;/
