I don't think it's going to be nearly as good as a fire resist set Neo.

It's not really worth it to touch any specific sets for Ouryu once you get an Ares body, or I would imagine D.Ring/Aegis. The thing is always asleep on the ground, so I find that damage that I take in the air extremely important so that I can keep curebombing myself for hate.

My LS fights Ouryu 100% of the time with skillchains and magic bursts. We never sleep it but:

As for Tiamat - once you get an Aegis, you can use Templar Mace and MDB gear to curve it enough so that you can mainheal yourself pretty much never need anything but Viruna.

It looks good on paper but I don't think it's as functional in practice as just using a resist set. Paladins are already their own main healers in HNM fights with or without Aegis.

I use FR for Tiamat, but if I had Aegis I'd probably go MDB.

When I finish my set I'll give it a shot, but I doubt the numbers will be anywhere near as low as using a resistance set.

Why not just do both? Giving up 4 enmity and just keeping hrotti/aegis on you can still push 150'ish AND get the capped, or close to, M%- for those occational unresisted.

They are talking about a MDB Set, that's different from Magic Damage Taken Set. Aegis and merited shell V are already capped at magic damage taken but there is no Magic Defense Bonus cap as far as I know.

So Aegis users already use EITHER a FR set or MDB set while already having Magic Damage Taken capped. They are debating which set is better between FR and MDB.

The Aegis PLD in my shell uses a MDB Set and he said he took 80-90 damage from fireballs on Tiamat(I have filters so i'll take his word), and I think that's pretty darn good since it's -always- 80-90 and he has less gear to carry around.

Still some items i would like to work on. Swap in Harmonia's Torque for flash and cures, Boxer's Mantle and Shield torque when I'm casting Ichi. Do have AF2 body also, just use it when i need the extra enmity.

Valor is still better. I can't imagine someone being able to get such goodies as a Cerb/Shadow (whichever that is) and an Ares body yet not Homam or Valor. Oh well, maybe he's just REALLY unlucky with drops? @_@

Yeah i have 8 Axe and 8 Sword merits.

@Everyone else, Yeah Kirin just won't put out, Beau just... never drops AF2 and need to get inline for Homam^^; Only been 75 for about 4 months or so.
