I didn't have any grips on my main, nor my earth resist or ice resist items. My RNG is admittedly gimpy and I need a couple of items to flesh out my WS builds (Namely Fenrir and Vampire Earring). Also, I'm actually looking at scrapping those NIN merit builds in favor of a sushi build featuring NIN Chainmail +1, Koga Hakama, and Shinobi Ring. Need to craft some Dusk Ledelsens +1 and then I can pull it off.

Could be self crafted, like the dusk, since he said he needs to make some HQ dusk feet for himself. NQ fire staff could be because he never uses RNG or something. NQ staves for nin however, i dunno, i think those would be worth the money for HQ.

The only times I care about landing my ninjutsu enfeebles, I'm using katanas. I'll upgrade my Water Staff and my fire resist build in general after I finish the upgrades I actually care about (Eg, Dusk Ledelsens +1 and HQ Hecatomb), but that's really the only HQ staff I care about for NIN. As for my RNG, yeah, I pretty much never use it except for Culverin zerg or NM farming, so even though the upgrades there would be easy to make, I don't want to commit gil to them while I have other needs.

Hauby +1 for WS over Askar body, as sexy as Askar body is, I'd rather not give up the 12 Acc+6 Dex for meaningless Store Tp+2% DA.

If you could somehow get a 5 hit (4 after WS) with Askar body though, jesus that would be a hot piece. As is, fun alternative, great town gear, but using Rajas with it is kind of defeating the idea of a minimized 6 hit build....


BUT, you're not a gaxe main, so it doesn't matter too much.

I use Koga Tekko+1 for my Ninjutsu build to save some money.

NQ staves for nin however, i dunno, i think those would be worth the money for HQ.

I have never found a single reason to own an HQ staff for ninja (except to look awesome, but looking awesome doesn't pay the bills!).

I suppose Neptune's would be okay for a fire resist build, but with a cerb mantle you can use a water staff and still easily reach a 95% resist rate. Unless you play a mage job and get dual use out of them, I say NQ all the way! There's better places to spend the gil imo.
